A detail view gathers everything about a single item so people can understand it and act without switching screens. Our task detail examples include the title, status, description, attachments, a subtask checklist, a comment thread and a properties sidebar, shown for web and mobile across eight visual styles with light and dark versions and code. Every example is an original design that comes with its HTML code and a DESIGN.md of colour, type and spacing tokens, in light and dark. Free to use and adapt.

The title, current status, assignee, due date and priority, a description, any attachments and subtasks, and an activity or comment thread. Actions such as complete, assign and share should be easy to reach. Everything needed to decide what to do next should be visible without leaving the view.
A side panel keeps the list visible and suits quick triage, a full page suits rich items with long discussions, and a modal suits short focused edits. Many products use a panel that can expand to a full page, with its own URL so the item can be shared.
Separate content from metadata: put the description, subtasks and discussion in the main column and properties in a sidebar. Use clear section headings, collapse rarely used sections and keep the primary actions in a fixed position near the title.
