A version history screen lets people see how a document changed over time, compare two versions and restore an earlier one. Our screens show a timeline of versions with authors and times, a before-and-after diff with additions and removals highlighted, and a restore action, designed for web and mobile across eight visual styles, light and dark. Every example is an original design that comes with its HTML code and a DESIGN.md of colour, type and spacing tokens, in light and dark. Free to use and adapt.

Use a side-by-side or inline diff. Highlight added text and removed text with distinct backgrounds, and add plus and minus markers or strikethrough so the change is clear without relying on colour.
No. Restore by creating a new version that copies the old content. That keeps the full history and lets people undo the restore.
