A shift scheduler has to show who works when, at a glance, and flag problems before the rota goes out. These examples show a week grid of team members against days, colour-coded shifts by role, open shifts that need cover, time off and unavailability, scheduled against contracted hours, a short-staffed warning and daily labour totals, with a mobile day view. Every example is an original design that comes with its HTML code and a DESIGN.md of colour, type and spacing tokens, in light and dark. Free to use and adapt.

A week (or day) grid, shifts with start and end times and role, open shifts, time off and availability, hours per person, daily totals, and a draft-then-publish step so staff only see the final rota.
As a hatched or muted block in the person’s row, labelled with the type (annual leave, unavailable), so it can’t be mistaken for a shift.
