Wundaire Brand Guidelines
One pair of hands.

Two constants: a tangerine-and-sea-green palette and a playful rounded register. Abstract homage — not a Wundaire piece or wordmark.
One pair of hands
Wundaire is one maker hand-building playful, colourful ceramics in Greytown, New Zealand.
Wundaire is a lesson in a single pair of hands as the identity. A New Zealand studio, it is one maker — Felicity Donaldson — hand-building playful, colourful homeware in Greytown: chunky planters, squiggle-and-pasta motifs, candlesticks and mugs, made intuitively rather than academically. One person, one hand.
Its identity is one pair of hands. Wundaire’s characterful, handmade pieces are the work it is known for. A maker, made a brand. A studio with a sense of humour.
(Honest notes, so the story stays precise. Wundaire is a solo, founder-led studio run by Felicity Donaldson in Greytown, in New Zealand’s Wairarapa — so we frame it as a one-person maker’s studio, not a large “house,” and we don’t imply staff, a factory or a big catalogue. It has been operating since at least the mid-2010s, but we could not verify an exact founding year, so we say “since the early 2010s” rather than inventing a date. Its signature is playful, hand-built, colourful ceramics; because the exact clay body isn’t documented, we don’t claim porcelain or stoneware specifically. Its collaborations — with Fisher & Paykel and with Fix & Fog — are those partners’ IP, described but never reproduced. Its pieces and wordmark are its IP, and there is no official brand hex — these tones are an unofficial interpretation. This is design commentary and does not promote any product.)
Colour
Wundaire lives in a tangerine-and-sea-green palette. Click a swatch to copy the hex.
Wundaire’s identity is playful, colourful and warm — a tangerine, an ink, a sea green, a pink, and a cream. The palette leans tangerine and sea green: the register of bright, characterful, hand-mixed glaze colour. It signals fun and personality over restraint. The honest caveat: with no published brand hex, these values are an original, unofficial interpretation, not first-party colours.
The lesson is a bright palette signals a playful identity. Wundaire’s world is a playful, colourful, warm object. For designers, it is a reminder that a joyful, saturated palette can carry a brand built on the character of one maker’s hand — colours that feel hand-mixed and happy. Because bright hues can fail as small text, keep type dark and let the loud colour live in the discs, palette and band. The takeaways: let one hand show; keep the palette playful; stay small on purpose; and treat any single hex as unofficial.
Typography
The register is a playful rounded — warm, characterful, hand-made.
Wundaire’s identity carries a warm, characterful, hand-made spirit — a playful object, not a serious one. A playful rounded sans captures the mood: soft, friendly and a little wonky, the register of intuitive, hand-built ceramics. Set in a tangerine-and-sea-green palette, the playful rounded feels warm and characterful — exactly the personality Wundaire carries. It is hand-made rather than slick, mirroring a chunky, colourful planter. (Wundaire’s real pieces and wordmark are things we describe but do not reproduce, and the exact typeface is not ours to use.) Because it is not ours to use, the honest description is “a playful-rounded spirit,” shown here in a stand-in. The type behaves like the brand: warm, characterful and hand-made.

One maker as identity
Wundaire stands for one pair of hands.
Wundaire is a lesson in making one pair of hands the identity. A tangerine-and-sea-green palette, a playful rounded and colourful, hand-built pieces make a single maker the whole brand — playful, colourful and warm. The hand is the differentiator. The differentiator is genuine, intuitive making by one person — pieces that carry a sense of humour and a human touch, not a production line.
Put to work, the identity is a maker as design. A studio building in this spirit would let the personality of one hand come through and stay small on purpose, so the customer buys into character and craft rather than scale. The lesson Wundaire teaches is that one maker plus real personality can build a brand: the hand gives it warmth, and the humour gives it charm. The maker is the personality, and the hand is the proof.
For designers and brand-builders, Wundaire offers a clear takeaway: let one hand be the brand. The lessons: keep it personal; let the palette be playful; stay small deliberately; and be honest about the story. It is also a reminder to stay accurate: Wundaire is a solo, founder-led studio run by Felicity Donaldson in Greytown, New Zealand — a one-person maker, not a big house — operating since the early 2010s (exact year unverified), with the clay body undocumented and the palette here an unofficial interpretation. Wundaire made one pair of hands the brand — proof that a single maker can be the difference.
