Inspect a font's name table, version, designer, glyph count, weight/width class and embedding permissions (fsType) — free, 100% in your browser. Safe for licensed fonts.
100% private — your font never leaves your browser. Safe for licensed or unreleased fonts.

Can I check a font's licence and embedding permissions?
Yes — the tool reads the OS/2 fsType bits and the name table's licence fields so you can see whether web embedding is allowed.
Is my font uploaded to inspect it?
No — it's parsed entirely in your browser, so it's safe to inspect licensed, purchased or unreleased fonts.
What does fsType / embedding permission mean?
fsType is a flag set by the font vendor that says how the font may be embedded — from 'installable' (no restrictions) to 'restricted' (no embedding).
How many characters (glyphs) does my font have?
The inspector shows both the total glyph count and the number of mapped Unicode characters from the cmap table.
Does it work with WOFF2 files?
TTF, OTF and WOFF are read directly. WOFF2 is compressed and may need decompressing first — convert it to WOFF/TTF with our font converter.
