How are headings detected?

The most common font size is treated as body text; the larger sizes become #, ## and ### headings, and short all-bold lines become smaller headings.

Are tables converted?

Tables come out as plain text lines, not Markdown tables — PDFs don't store tables as structure, so check and tidy them by hand.

Why is my Markdown empty?

Scanned PDFs are images with no text layer. Run them through OCR PDF first, then convert.

Is it good for AI tools?

Yes — Markdown keeps the structure that language models use well, with far fewer tokens than raw PDF text full of page numbers and headers.
