Excel to JSON
Convert Excel to JSON online for free — turn spreadsheet rows into a JSON array of objects keyed by the header row (or an array of arrays), keep numbers and true/false as real types, and export one sheet or every sheet at once. Copy or download the JSON; everything runs in your browser.
100% private — everything runs in your browser. Conversion happens on your device; nothing is uploaded.
Converted in your browser with SheetJS — your data never leaves your device. Excel formulas are exported as their calculated values; formatting such as colours and merged cells isn’t carried into CSV or JSON.

What JSON format do I get?
By default, an array of objects whose keys come from the first row — for example [{"Name":"Alice","Age":30}]. Untick “First row is headers” to get an array of arrays.
Are numbers kept as numbers?
Yes, with “Keep types” ticked. Untick it to get every value as text, exactly as displayed in Excel.
Can I export all sheets?
Tick “All sheets” to get one object keyed by sheet name.
Is my data uploaded?
No. The conversion runs in your browser with the open-source SheetJS library, so spreadsheets with customer or financial data stay on your device.
What about formulas and formatting?
Formulas are exported as their calculated values. Colours, fonts and merged cells aren't part of CSV or JSON, so they aren't carried over.
