How do I convert MOV to GIF?
Drop the MOV file in, choose the start point and length, set the frame rate and width, then click “Create GIF”. The GIF is made in your browser and ready to download.
Why won't my iPhone MOV load?
iPhones usually record MOV in HEVC (H.265), which some browsers can't decode. If the video won't load, open this page in Safari, or set Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible so new videos record in H.264. MOV files in H.264 work in every modern browser.
Why is my GIF so large?
GIF is an old, heavy format. Keep clips short (2–6 seconds), use 10 fps or less, and a width of 480 px or smaller.
Does the GIF have sound?
No — GIF is an image format and can't store audio.
Is my video uploaded?
No. Frames are captured and encoded in your browser, so your video never leaves your device.
