Christmas Party Invitation

Make a Christmas party invitation from one of our 8 free designs: gold stars and baubles, holly corners, gingerbread cookies, a knitted sweater, a snowy night village, a Christmas tree with presents, a red plaid frame or a wreath with a bow. Start from ready wording for an office holiday party, a family Christmas dinner, a cookie exchange, an ugly sweater party, a holiday open house or a kids’ party, then change every line: the date, time, place, RSVP and an extra line for food, a gift swap or the dress code. Print 5 × 7 in, 4 × 6 in, A2, A6, A5 or square invitations one, two or four to a sheet with crop marks, get a print-shop PDF with bleed, or download a phone-size image to text. Paste a guest list and every invitation gets its own guest’s name. The PDF keeps your words as real text in the same fonts, so it prints sharp. No sign-up, no watermark.

100% private — everything runs in your browser. Your words and guest names stay in your browser; the PDF, PNG and JPG are made on your device.

How to make a Christmas party invitation

  1. Choose a design, and a colour set if you want different colours.
  2. Pick the party wording (office party, family dinner, cookie exchange, ugly sweater, open house or kids’ party) or type your own.
  3. Fill in the date, time, place, RSVP and an extra line if you need one.
  4. Optional: paste your guest list (one name per line) so each invitation starts with “Dear Aunt Rosa,”.
  5. Choose the size, how many per sheet and US Letter or A4, click “PDF to print” and print at 100% (Actual size) on card stock.
  6. To send it instead, choose an image size and download the PNG or JPG, or one image per guest as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

What should a Christmas party invitation say?

The kind of party, who is hosting, the date with a start and end time, the place and address, how and by when to RSVP, and anything guests need to know: food or drinks, a gift swap, what to bring, the dress code or a sweater theme.

When should I send Christmas party invitations?

December calendars fill up early, so send them several weeks ahead. Planning guides we read range from several weeks to 6 to 8 weeks before the party, and suggest asking for replies at least two weeks before it.

What size is a Christmas party invitation?

5 × 7 in is the classic size and fits an A7 envelope. 4 × 6 in and A2 cards are smaller; outside North America A6 and A5 are usual. The size table shows how many fit on a sheet and the envelope for each.

How do I word an office Christmas party invitation?

Choose the Office holiday party wording. It names the team, gives the date, time, venue and RSVP, and has a line for dinner, drinks or a gift swap. Many workplaces say holiday party rather than Christmas party; change any word you like.

Can I make an ugly sweater party invitation?

Yes. Choose the Knitted sweater design and the Ugly sweater party wording, which asks guests to wear their loudest knit. You can add a line about a prize or a dress code.

Can I put each guest’s name on the invitation?

Yes. Paste your guest list, one name per line, and each invitation gets its own guest line, such as “Dear Marcus,”. The PDF has one invitation per guest, two or four to a sheet, and the image option gives one picture per guest in a ZIP.

How do I print 2 or 4 invitations on one sheet?

Choose 2 per sheet or 4 per sheet. Two 5 × 7 in invitations fit on a Letter or A4 sheet; four A2 cards fit on Letter and four A6 cards on A4. Print at 100% (Actual size) and cut along the crop marks.

Can I send the invitation by text or email?

Yes. Under Image to send, choose the story size (1080 × 1920) or a square image and download it as a PNG or JPG to send by text, WhatsApp or email.

Is the text in the PDF sharp?

Yes. Your words are real text in the PDF, set in the same open-licence fonts you see in the preview, so they stay crisp and you can select them. Lines with characters outside the usual Latin alphabet are placed as a 300 DPI image instead.

Are my guest names uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser, the names are not sent anywhere, and nothing is saved when you close the page.
