How does the color extractor choose colors?
It analyses all the pixels in the image and groups similar ones, then shows the most dominant colors as a palette (the same approach as the popular Color Thief library).
How many colors can I extract?
Use the + and − buttons to choose how many swatches appear, up to 16.
Can I get the exact color of one spot?
Yes. Click anywhere on the image to pick that exact pixel and see its HEX, RGB, HSL and HSV values.
What formats can I copy?
HEX, RGB, HSL and HSV — click a value to copy it.
Is my image uploaded?
No. The colors are calculated in your browser, so your image never leaves your device.
