Increase Video Volume
Increase the volume of a video for free — boost quiet videos by +3 to +20 dB, or normalise the sound to the loudest level that won't distort. A soft limiter keeps peaks clean, and the picture is copied without re-encoding, so quality is untouched. Runs privately in your browser.

A soft limiter stops loud peaks from crackling. The picture is copied without re-encoding.
Everything is processed by your browser’s built-in encoders (WebCodecs) with the open-source Mediabunny library — your files are never uploaded. Works best in recent Chrome, Edge and Safari.

How do I make a video louder?
Drop it in, choose a boost such as +6 dB (about twice as loud), and click Increase volume.
Will boosting cause distortion?
A soft limiter rounds off the loudest peaks so they don't crackle. For the cleanest result, use “normalise”, which raises the volume only as far as it can go without distortion.
Does it change the picture quality?
No — the video stream is copied exactly; only the audio is processed.
Is my video uploaded?
No. The video is read and encoded by your own browser using its built-in video encoders, so it never leaves your device — even large or private videos stay private.
