Christmas Bingo

Make printable Christmas bingo cards for a class party, a family game or the office. Pick our 30 Christmas pictures, drawn by us, with or without the word under each one, or a list of 40 Christmas words, 30 words from the Nativity story, or your own. Choose a 5 × 5 card with a free centre, a 4 × 4, or a 3 × 3 for small children, and how many cards you need: every card in the set is different. The PDF ends with calling cards to cut out and a call list to tick off, or you can call the game on this page and check a winner’s card by its number. Print 1, 2 or 4 cards per page on US Letter or A4, in colour or in black and white to colour in. Free, with no sign-up and no watermark.

Runs in your browser with our own code: your words never leave your device, and nothing is saved. Every card in a set is checked to be different, and the call list holds every item that can appear on a card. The pictures are our own drawings. Print at 100% (Actual size).

How to make Christmas bingo cards

  1. Pick a list: our pictures, Christmas words, the Nativity story, or type your own words, one per line.
  2. Choose what each square shows (picture and word, picture only or word only) and the grid size.
  3. Type how many cards you need, one for each player, and a title for the top.
  4. Choose 1, 2 or 4 cards per page, the paper and colour or black and white.
  5. Download the PDF and print at 100% (Actual size). Cut out the calling cards, or press Call next on this page during the game.

4 × 4161616
3 × 398 + free centre8

Worked out by the tool. A list longer than the number of squares gives each card a different mix, so a full card takes longer and fewer players finish together. In a test of 40-card sets, every card was different for every list and grid size.

How to play and which pattern wins

PatternWhat wins
A lineAny full row, column or diagonal (the free centre counts as marked)
Four cornersThe four corner squares
Full cardEvery square marked, also called blackout or coverall

Agree on the pattern before you start. A line is quick for young children; a full card keeps a party going longer. The card checker on this page knows all three.

Frequently asked questions

How do you play Christmas bingo?

Each player gets a different card and some markers. The caller picks a calling card at random and reads it out. Players who have that picture or word cover it. The first to cover a line shouts Bingo and wins the round; check their card against the items called.

Is every card different?

Yes. Every card in a set is checked against the others, so no two are the same. With more items than squares, each card also has a different mix of items, so players do not all fill up at once.

How many cards can I make?

Up to 200 in one set, numbered on each card. For a class of 30, type 30. Note the set code under the preview to make the same cards again later.

Are there pictures for children who cannot read yet?

Yes. Our 30 Christmas pictures work as picture only, or with the word under each one. For small children, a 3 × 3 card with a free centre has 8 pictures to find.

What are the calling cards and the call list?

The pages after the cards hold one calling card for every item, to cut out and pick from a bowl, and a call list with a box to tick as you call each item. Every item that can appear on a card is on both.

Can I call the game on a phone or a laptop?

Yes. Press Call next under the preview: the tool picks an item at random from those not yet called and shows it large. Type a card number and press Check card to see whether that card wins.

Is there a Nativity version?

Yes. The Nativity story list has 30 words, from Bethlehem and the manger to the shepherds and the wise men. You can edit any list before you print.

Can I print in black and white?

Yes. Choose Black and white, to colour in: the pictures print as black outlines on white, which saves ink and gives children something to colour after the game.

What can we use as markers?

Buttons, coins, dried beans, paper squares, small pom-poms, or a crayon to cross each square. For cards you want to reuse, slip them into plastic sleeves and use a dry-wipe pen.

Can I use the cards in class or sell them?

Yes. The designs are our own drawings: you may use them and anything you make with them, including things you sell, with no credit needed.

Are my words uploaded?

No. The cards and the PDF are made in your browser and nothing is saved.
