How to make printable photo booth props

1. Choose a theme: New Year, wedding, birthday, Valentine’s Day or any party.
2. Untick any prop you don’t want and type your own words on the signs and speech bubbles; check the year for the year glasses.
3. Choose full colour or outlines to colour in, the colours, the lettering and the size.
4. Choose US Letter or A4 and download the PDF.
5. Print at 100% (Actual size) on card stock, cut along the grey lines, and cut out the lenses of the glasses.
6. Tape or glue a craft stick, skewer, paper straw or cake-pop stick to the tab on the back of each prop.

Sizes are the width × height of each prop as drawn, measured by the tool, without the stick tab. The tab adds 35 mm (1.4 in) at the bottom or the side and stays 16 mm wide at every size. Small is 80% and large 125% of the standard size.

One copy of each prop, packed by the tool onto as few sheets as it can. Props may be turned on the sheet to fit; the cut lines turn with them.

Printing and putting them together

• Print at 100% (Actual size). Each sheet keeps a 10 mm margin and 6 mm between props.
• Card stock or heavy paper holds its shape better than plain paper.
• Cut along the grey lines. For glasses, fold the lens gently in half and snip into it to start the cut.
• Tape or glue the stick to the back of the tab; let glue dry before the party.
• Print the outline version for children to colour before you cut.

Frequently asked questions

Are these photo booth props free?

Yes. Every prop is free to make, download and print, with no sign-up, no email and no watermark. All the props are our own drawings.

What size are the props?

Each prop’s real size is listed on the page and under the preview, measured from the drawing. At the standard size the round glasses are 12.6 cm wide and a sign 15.2 cm wide; choose small for children or large for adults and big groups.

How do I print the props at the right size?

Download the PDF and print at 100% or Actual size, not Fit to page. Each sheet keeps a 10 mm margin. Card stock or heavy paper makes the props sturdier.

How do I attach the sticks?

Every prop has a tab, 16 × 35 mm, at the bottom or on one side, marked with a dashed box. Cut round it with the prop, then tape or glue a craft stick, wooden skewer, paper straw or cake-pop stick to the back of the tab.

Can I change the words on the signs?

Yes. Every sign, heart and speech bubble has its own text box. Long words shrink to fit, and two or more words move onto two lines when that makes them bigger. You can also add one sign of your own.

Can I put the year on the glasses?

Yes. The year glasses carry the year on a banner above the lenses. Type the year once and the glasses and the New Year signs change with it.

Is there a version without moustaches?

Yes. Untick Include moustaches and the moustache leaves every set.

Can children colour the props in?

Yes. Choose Black outlines to colour in. Every prop prints as a black outline on white, ready for crayons, pencils or markers, with the cut lines still shown.

Can I cut the props with a cutting machine?

Yes. The SVG has the artwork and a separate group of red cut lines, one per prop, at true size. Most cutting machines can print the artwork and then cut round the outline.

Is anything uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Your words are not sent anywhere, and nothing is saved when you close the page.
