Screen Recorder

Record your screen online for free — capture your whole screen, one window or a browser tab, with tab or system audio, then save it as MP4 or WebM. Pause and resume, choose 720p, 1080p or 4K and 15–60 fps. No software to install, no sign-up, no time limit and no watermark; the recording stays on your device.

100% private — everything is made on your device, never uploaded. Conversion happens on your device; nothing is uploaded.

100% private — runs in your browser

Your browser asks which screen, window or tab to share, and the recording is made on your device — nothing is uploaded, there is no time limit and no watermark. Recordings are kept in memory until you download them, so save long recordings promptly. Works on computers in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari; phones and tablets don’t support screen capture in the browser.

Frequently asked questions

How do I record my screen with sound?

Keep “Record tab / system audio” ticked. When choosing what to share, pick a tab and turn on “Share tab audio”, or share your entire screen with “Share system audio” (Windows and ChromeOS). macOS only allows tab audio.

Can it record my microphone?

Not yet — this recorder captures the screen and shared audio only.

Is there a time limit?

No. Recordings are held in memory until you download them, so very long recordings need plenty of RAM — download as soon as you stop.

MP4 or WebM?

MP4 plays everywhere and is chosen automatically when your browser can record it (recent Chrome, Edge and Safari). Otherwise WebM is used; convert it with our WebM to MP4 tool.

Does it work on phones?

No — mobile browsers don't allow screen capture. Use your phone's built-in screen recorder.

Is my recording uploaded?

No. It never leaves your device.
