Mardi Gras Mask Template
Print a Mardi Gras mask template for free. Choose a mask shape: upswept wings, jester points with bells, a fleur-de-lis crest, or a classic mask with three feathers to cut out and glue behind it. Size it from the face: pick child, teen, adult or large adult, or type the face width (temple to temple) and the distance between the pupils, and the eye holes are centred on the eyes; the tool tells you how big they are and how far apart. Wear it with elastic through two punched holes, or with a stick: a strip of card to fold into a handle is on the sheet. Add a pattern to colour (diamonds, bead rows, swirls or stripes) or print a colour version in purple, green and gold. A check square shows the print is true size. Download a PDF on US Letter or A4, an SVG cut file or a PNG. No sign-up, no watermark.

Pattern
Runs in your browser with our own code, and nothing is saved. Every mask is our own drawing. The eye holes are centred on the pupil distance you give; hold the print up to the face before cutting. The PDF is true size: print at 100% (Actual size) and check the square.

How do I measure for the mask?
Measure the face width across the eyes from temple to temple, and the distance between the centres of the pupils (in a mirror with a ruler, or ask someone). Or start from the child, teen or adult size and check the print against the face.
How big are the eye holes?
They grow with the face: about a quarter of the face width across (at least 2.4 cm, narrower for close-set eyes), centred on the pupil distance you give. The tool shows the size and gap for your settings, and the table on this page lists them for each size.
Elastic or a stick?
Elastic leaves the hands free: punch the two small circles and tie on thin elastic or ribbon. A stick is easier to put on and take off: fold the handle strip in half, glue it flat and glue it behind one side, or use a craft stick.
Is there a colour version?
Yes: tick “Print in colour” for a purple mask with a gold pattern and green feathers. Leave it unticked for an outline to colour.
How is this different from the plain mask template?
This page has Mardi Gras shapes (upswept wings, jester points with bells, a fleur-de-lis crest and feathers), patterns, a stick handle and a purple, green and gold version. The mask template has simple everyday shapes and a full-face mask.
How do I check the print is the right size?
Measure the check square on the first sheet: it must be exactly 1 in (or 2 cm with cm units) on each side. If it is smaller, print again at 100% or Actual size, not Fit to page.
Can I use it with a Cricut or Silhouette?
Yes. Download the SVG: it is true size in millimetres, with the cut lines on their own layer.
Can I sell things I make with these masks?
The designs are our own drawings: you may use them and anything you make with them, including things you sell, with no credit needed.
