Why isn't my microphone working?
Check the browser permission (the microphone or lock icon in the address bar), make sure the mic isn't muted by a hardware switch or in your system settings, and that the right device is selected in the menu.
What level should my voice be?
Aim for normal speech peaking around −12 to −6 dBFS. If the warning says you're clipping, move back or lower the input volume.
What does noise suppression do?
It's the processing used by video-call apps. Turn it on to hear how you'll sound on a call, or off to hear the raw microphone.
Is my voice recorded or uploaded?
Only the optional 5-second test, which stays in your browser so you can play it back. Nothing is uploaded.
