Noise Texture Generator
Generate seamless noise and grain textures for free — fine film grain, soft gaussian grain or fractal clouds, in any base colour or as a transparent overlay. Download a tileable PNG up to 2048 px, or copy a CSS grain overlay that needs no image file.
100% private — everything runs in your browser. Conversion happens on your device; nothing is uploaded.
Every texture tiles seamlessly — repeat it as a CSS background or a pattern fill in Figma, Photoshop or Procreate. Transparent mode makes an overlay you can drop over gradients and photos to add grain and reduce colour banding.
How to make a noise texture
- Choose a noise type: film grain, soft grain or clouds.
- Set the intensity, tile size and colour (or transparent).
- Click New seed for a different pattern.
- Download the PNG tile, or copy the CSS grain overlay.
What you can use it for
- Add subtle grain to gradients to stop colour banding
- Give flat UI backgrounds a tactile, printed feel
- Make textures for 3D, games and illustrations
- Create grainy, retro social graphics and posters

Is the texture seamless?
Yes — every tile repeats without visible edges, so you can use it as a repeating background or pattern fill.
How do I add grain over a gradient?
Tick Transparent, download the PNG and place it on top of your gradient at low opacity — or copy the CSS grain overlay and add the grain class to the element.
What's the difference between the noise types?
Film grain is fine per-pixel noise; soft grain is gentler and less contrasty; clouds is smooth fractal noise, good for organic textures and displacement maps.
Is it free for commercial use?
Yes, with no attribution needed.
