Converts spreadsheets to clean, selectable PDF tables — one section per sheet, with dates and number formats preserved as displayed. Charts and cell colors are not carried over. Runs locally; nothing is uploaded.

How to convert Excel to PDF

  1. Drop your spreadsheet onto the upload area — .xlsx, .xls, and .csv all work.
  2. Tick the sheets you want (all are selected by default — empty sheets are skipped automatically).
  3. Choose orientation and paper size. Auto switches to landscape when a sheet is more than six columns wide.
  4. Click Convert to PDF & download — each sheet becomes its own titled section, with long tables flowing across pages.

What carries over (and what doesn’t)

FeatureCarried over?
Cell values, text, numbers✔ Yes — as selectable PDF text
Dates & number formats✔ Yes — exactly as displayed in Excel (e.g. currency, percentages)
Multiple sheets✔ Yes — one section per sheet, in order
Header row emphasis✔ First row is bolded and shaded
FormulasTheir results are exported, not the formulas themselves
Charts, images, cell colors✘ Not carried over — this tool is built for data tables

If your spreadsheet is mostly a chart or a styled dashboard, printing to PDF from Excel itself will serve you better. For data — price lists, exports, reports, inventories — this produces a cleaner result than most upload-based converters, with none of the privacy trade-off.

Frequently asked questions

Is my spreadsheet uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is parsed and converted on your own device. That matters more for spreadsheets than almost any other file type — they tend to contain financials, customer lists, and salary data. Most converter sites process your workbook on their servers; this one never sees it.

How are wide sheets handled?

Auto orientation flips to landscape when a sheet is wide, and long cell text wraps within its column. Extremely wide sheets (20+ columns) will get cramped on any paper size — consider splitting them or exporting a subset of columns first.

Can I convert CSV files?

Yes — CSVs are treated as single-sheet workbooks, which makes this a quick way to turn a data export into a readable, shareable PDF table.

Is the text in the PDF selectable?

Yes — the output is a true vector PDF, so you can select, copy, and search every cell’s contents, and the file stays small (a few hundred rows is typically well under 100 KB).

Is it free? Any limits?

Completely free — no signup, no watermark, no sheet or row quota, no file-size cap. Very large workbooks simply take a moment longer to parse on your device.
