Frequently asked questions

How do I change a PDF from Letter to A4?

Drop the PDF in, choose “A4” as the new page size and keep Fit selected. Each page is scaled to fit A4 without cutting anything off. Click “Resize & download”.

Does resizing a PDF reduce quality?

No. Pages are scaled as vectors rather than turned into images, so text stays sharp and selectable and images keep their resolution.

What's the difference between Fit, Fill and Stretch?

Fit scales each page to fit inside the new size, which can leave white bands. Fill scales it to cover the whole page, cropping the edges. Stretch fills the page exactly, which can distort the content.

Can I resize pages of different sizes?

Yes. Every page is scaled to the new size. With “Match each page”, landscape pages stay landscape and portrait pages stay portrait.

Will this make my PDF file smaller?

Resizing changes the page dimensions, not the file size. To make the file smaller, use our Compress PDF tool.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. Resizing runs in your browser, so your document never leaves your device.
