Winter Coloring Pages

Make free printable winter coloring pages from 16 pictures we drew ourselves: a snowman, mittens, a bobble hat, a scarf, a sled, an ice skate, a snowflake, snowy pine trees, a log cabin, hot cocoa, a penguin, a polar bear, a snowy owl, a fox, an igloo and a snow globe. Nothing here is Christmas-themed, so the pages work all through December, January and February. Print one big picture on a page, a grid of four or six small pictures, a snowy winter scene, a fold-in-half card, or a snowflake mandala with a new pattern at the press of a button. Type a child’s name for a name page in hollow letters to colour, such as “Let it snow, Maya”, or paste a class list to get the same picture for everyone with each child’s name at the top. Choose simple, medium or detailed lines: the same picture gets more to colour, and the lines get finer, never thinner than 0.5 mm. Download everything as one multi-page PDF for US Letter or A4, a 300 DPI PNG of every page, or an SVG. No sign-up, no watermark.

Printing tips

  • Every page keeps a 12.7 mm (half inch) margin from the paper edge, on US Letter and A4.
  • Plain paper is fine for crayons and pencils; use thicker paper or card for markers and paint.
  • Print one page first and check it before printing a whole pack or class set.
  • Choose Detailed lines with fine pens or sharp pencils, and Simple lines with chunky crayons.
  • For the card, print one side only, then fold the sheet in half with the picture on the outside; the inside stays blank for a message.

Frequently asked questions

Are these winter coloring pages free?

Yes. Every page is free to make, download and print, with no sign-up and no watermark. All the pictures are our own drawings.

Are the pages Christmas-themed?

No. The pictures are winter things: snow, warm clothes, cocoa, a cabin and winter animals. There are no Christmas trees, presents or Santa, so the pages suit January and February too. For Christmas pictures, see the Christmas coloring pages on this site.

How do I print the coloring pages?

Download the PDF and print it on plain paper. Choose 100% or Actual size to keep the margins as drawn; Fit to page also works if your printer cuts off the edges. Card or thicker paper takes markers and paint better.

Which pages suit toddlers and preschoolers?

Choose Simple lines: big shapes with thick outlines that are easy to stay inside. Medium adds patterns such as zigzags and stripes, and Detailed adds small snowflakes, dots and fine lines for older children and adults.

Can I put my child’s name on a coloring page?

Yes. Choose Name page and type the name. The name is drawn in large hollow letters to colour, with a greeting above it and a snowman, mittens and a penguin below. You can change the greeting or remove it.

Can I make a page for every child in my class?

Yes. Choose Class set, pick a picture and paste the names, one per line, up to 40. Each child gets the same picture with their own name in hollow letters at the top, all in one PDF.

Are there winter coloring pages for adults?

Yes. Choose Snowflake mandala with Detailed lines: each pattern number gives a different symmetric design, and the outer ring is always snowflakes. Choose 16 repeats for the most intricate pattern.

Can I make a winter card to colour?

Yes. Choose Fold-in-half card. The picture and title print on one half of a landscape sheet and a small snowflake on the other; fold it with the print outside. The card is 139.7 × 215.9 mm (5.5 × 8.5 in) from US Letter, 148.5 × 210 mm (A5) from A4.

Can I turn my own photo into a coloring page?

This page uses our drawings. To make a coloring page from your own photo, use the Photo to Coloring Page tool on this site.

Is anything uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Names are not sent anywhere, and nothing is saved when you close the page.
