How do I compress an image to 100KB?
Drop the image in and click “Compress & download”. The target is preset to 100 KB, and the tool lowers quality and, if needed, dimensions until the file is under that size.
Will my file be exactly 100KB?
It will be just under 100 KB. The tool aims about 3% below the limit so the file passes upload checks whether a site counts 1 KB as 1,000 or 1,024 bytes.
Does compressing to 100KB reduce quality?
Usually only slightly. Most photos look nearly identical at 100 KB, especially at web sizes; very large camera photos are also scaled down to fit.
Which format compresses smallest?
JPG (or WebP) reaches small sizes with the best quality for photos. PNG is lossless, so very small PNG targets mostly work by shrinking the image dimensions — switch the output to JPG if the result looks too small.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Compression happens entirely in your browser, so photos, IDs and signatures never leave your device.
