Hanukkah Coloring Pages
Make free printable Hanukkah coloring pages from 8 pictures we drew ourselves: a hanukkiah (menorah) with eight lights and the shamash, a dreidel, four dreidels with the letters nun, gimel, hei and shin, a Star of David, sufganiyot, latkes and applesauce, gelt coins in a net bag, and an oil jug. The dreidel letters are real Hebrew letters, drawn as hollow letters to color by your browser’s own font. Print one big picture, a grid of small pictures, a window scene, a fold-in-half card, or a star and flame mandala. Make a page for each night: the hanukkiah with that night’s lights and the shamash (the first light on the far right, one more added to its left each night, as Chabad.org describes), with the date that night begins. The lettering poster spells out “Happy Hanukkah” with the date from Hebcal for any year from 2025 to 2035: in 2026 Hanukkah begins at sundown on Friday, December 4, 2026. Add a name page or a class set, and choose simple, medium or detailed lines, never thinner than 0.5 mm. Download a PDF for US Letter or A4, a 300 DPI PNG of every page, or an SVG. No sign-up, no watermark.
100% private — everything runs in your browser. Names stay in your browser; the PDF, PNG and SVG are made on your device.
Page
Runs in your browser with our own code; names and words never leave your device, and nothing is saved. Every picture is our own drawing, black lines on white, with no characters, people or logos. The Hebrew letters on the dreidels are drawn by your browser’s own font as hollow letters and placed in the file as a picture. The designs are our own drawings: you may use them and anything you make with them, including things you sell, with no credit needed. The lettering fonts keep their own open licenses.

The letters on the dreidel
| Letter | Name | Stands for |
|---|---|---|
| נ | nun | nes (miracle) |
| ג | gimel | gadol (great) |
| ה | hei | hayah (happened) |
| ש | shin | sham (there) |
Together the four letters stand for “nes gadol hayah sham”, “a great miracle happened there” (Chabad.org). In Israel the last letter is a pei (פ), for “po”, “here”.
Simple to detailed lines

Printing tips
- Every page keeps a 12.7 mm (half inch) margin from the paper edge, on US Letter and A4.
- Plain paper is fine for crayons and pencils; use thicker paper or card for markers and paint.
- Print one page first and check it before printing a whole pack or class set.
- Choose Detailed lines only with fine pens or sharp pencils, and Simple lines with chunky crayons.
- The dreidel letters are placed as a picture made by your browser at 300 DPI, so they print sharp on any printer.

Which letters are on the dreidel?
Nun (נ), gimel (ג), hei (ה) and shin (ש), the first letters of “nes gadol hayah sham”, “a great miracle happened there”. In Israel the shin is replaced by a pei (פ), for “here”. The four dreidels picture shows one letter on each.

Nine: eight lights and the shamash, which stands higher on its own branch. The drawing has all 9. On the page for each night, the first light is on the far right and one more is added to its left each night.
Which pages suit toddlers and preschoolers?
Choose Simple lines: big shapes with thick outlines. The star of david and the dreidel have the fewest shapes, as the table shows.
Can I make a page for every child in my class?
Yes. Choose Class set, pick a picture and paste the names, one per line, up to 40. Each child gets the same picture with their own name in hollow letters at the top.

Yes. Choose Star and flame mandala with Detailed lines: each pattern number gives a different symmetric design with a Star of David in the middle.
How do I print the coloring pages?
Download the PDF and print it on plain paper. Choose 100% or Actual size to keep the margins as drawn; Fit to page also works if your printer cuts off the edges.
Is anything uploaded?
