Kuvings Brand Guidelines
The whole slow juicer.

Two constants: a fresh-wellness palette and a wellness sans register. Abstract homage — not the Kuvings juicer or wordmark.
The whole slow juicer
Kuvings built its name on the wide-mouth juicer.
Kuvings is a lesson in a defining feature as the identity. The global brand of Korea’s NUC Electronics, launched in 2007, it built its name on the “Whole Slow Juicer” — a vertical slow juicer with a wide feed chute that takes whole fruits and vegetables.
Its identity is the slow juicer. Kuvings makes cold-press, masticating juicers whose signature is the wide mouth — less pre-cutting, whole produce fed in — along with blenders and other health appliances. One machine, one memorable feature. A juicer you can feed a whole apple.
(Honest notes: Kuvings is the global consumer brand of NUC Electronics Co., Ltd., a South Korean maker that dates its company to 1978; the Kuvings brand name was introduced in 2007 (a coinage from the German Küche, “kitchen,” plus “living”). Its signature is the wide-feed-chute vertical slow juicer; the company claims the “world’s first Whole Slow Juicer” (sources give 2012), which we present as its own claim. It is made in South Korea, in NUC’s own factories, though addresses aren’t published, so we say “made in South Korea.” It appears independent and privately held, which we flag rather than assert. Importantly, the Kuvings-versus-Hurom slow-juicer rivalry is real and ongoing: both are Korean, and Hurom’s patent litigation against NUC has produced mixed, split rulings across courts, with appeals pending — so we present it neutrally and declare no winner. There’s no official brand hex, and we reproduce no juicer or logo — these tones are an unofficial interpretation. This is design commentary and does not promote any product.)
Colour
Kuvings lives in a fresh-wellness palette. Click a swatch to copy the hex.
Kuvings’ identity is fresh, premium and wellness-led — a green, an ink, a citrus, a plum, and a cream. The palette leans fresh wellness — the register of cold-pressed juice and healthy living. It signals wellbeing and freshness rather than novelty. The honest caveat: with no published brand hex, these tones are an original, unofficial interpretation, not first-party values.
The lesson is a fresh-wellness palette signals a health-led juicer. Kuvings’ world is a fresh, premium object. For designers, it is a reminder that a single, ownable feature — here the wide feed chute — can be the whole identity, and that a fresh, produce-toned palette carries a wellness promise. Because a green can fail as small text, keep type dark and let the colour live in the accents, palette and band. The takeaways: own one feature; signal freshness; keep it premium; and treat any single hex as unofficial.
Typography
The register is a wellness sans — clean, fresh, modern.
Kuvings’ identity carries a clean, fresh, modern spirit — a premium, wellness-led object. A geometric sans captures the mood: it is bright and contemporary, the register of a health-minded juicer. Set in a fresh-wellness palette, the wellness sans feels clean and fresh — exactly the personality Kuvings carries. It is modern rather than fussy, mirroring a sleek, single-purpose machine. (Kuvings’ real juicer and wordmark are works we describe but do not reproduce, and the exact typeface is not ours to use.) Because it is not ours to use, the honest description is “a wellness sans spirit,” shown here in a stand-in. The type behaves like the brand: clean, fresh and modern.

A defining feature as identity
Kuvings stands for the whole slow juicer.
Kuvings is a lesson in making one feature the identity. A fresh-wellness palette, a wellness sans and a wide-mouth machine make the whole slow juicer the whole brand — fresh, premium, health-led. The feature is the differentiator. The differentiator is a wide feed chute that lets you juice whole produce — a concrete, ownable benefit.
Put to work, the identity is a single clear promise. A designer building in this spirit would find one tangible feature customers understand instantly and build the brand around it, so the product needs no explanation beyond its defining benefit. The lesson Kuvings teaches is that a specific, ownable feature beats a vague one: “feed a whole apple” is easy to grasp and hard to forget, and a fresh, wellness-toned design language makes the health promise feel real.
For designers and brand-builders, Kuvings offers a clear takeaway: own one concrete feature. The lessons: own one feature; signal freshness; keep it premium; and be honest about the story. It is also a reminder to stay accurate: it is NUC Electronics’ brand, launched in 2007, with the “world’s first Whole Slow Juicer” claim dated to 2012 and presented as the company’s own — the palette here is an unofficial interpretation. And it is a reminder that in a specialist category, rivalries are part of the story: the ongoing Hurom-versus-Kuvings patent litigation between two Korean makers is real but split across courts, so we report it neutrally rather than taking sides. It is a reminder, too, that a company date and a brand date can differ: honouring both NUC’s 1978 origin and the 2007 Kuvings launch is more accurate than collapsing them. Kuvings made the slow juicer the brand — proof that a single feature can be the difference.
