Goodio Brand Guidelines
Nordic, design-led.

Two constants: a berry-and-cacao palette and a Nordic sans register. Abstract homage — not the Goodio packaging.
Nordic, design-led
Goodio makes vegan chocolate a Nordic design object.
Goodio is a lesson in values as identity. Founded in 2015 in Helsinki by Jukka Peltola — its Founder and Chief Creative Officer, who came from a creative career at Rovio (the makers of Angry Birds) before a health journey led him to raw cacao — it built a plant-based chocolate brand around the question, “what if there was a food brand you could trust?”
Its identity has two threads. First, vegan and organic, raw-cacao chocolate using Nordic wild ingredients (wild blueberry, sea buckthorn), framed by three pillars — good for people, planet and nutrition — under the tagline “It’s all good.” Second, a Nordic, design-led aesthetic that treats chocolate as a design object: decorative “design collections” with names like Flower Fields Forever and Arctic Elements. Bars run by percentage, and a functional line is named by benefit — Calm & Balanced, Natural Focus, Sweet Dreams.
(Honest notes: Goodio is founder-led and presents as independent. Its look is better described as Nordic and art-directed than strictly minimalist, given those decorative collections. Its correct home is goodiochocolate.com, and no external designer is credited. The functional line is benefit-named, and we don’t specify its actives. There’s no official brand hex, so these tones are an unofficial interpretation.)
Colour
Goodio lives in a berry-and-cacao palette. Click a swatch to copy the hex.
Goodio’s identity is Nordic, natural and design-led — a wild berry, an ink, a raw cacao, a Nordic sage, and a chalk. The palette pairs a wild berry with a raw cacao, cooled by a Nordic sage — the register of Finnish wild ingredients. It signals nature and design rather than indulgence. The honest caveat: with no published brand hex, these tones are an original, unofficial interpretation, not first-party values.
The lesson is a wild berry with a raw cacao signals Nordic, natural chocolate. Goodio’s world is a Finnish forest and a design collection. For designers, it is a reminder that a cool, wild-ingredient palette reads as clean and considered — right for a design-led vegan brand. The takeaways: source the palette from the wild (berry, cacao, sage); treat the bar as a design object (named collections); keep the values front and centre; and treat any single hex as unofficial.
Typography
The register is a Nordic sans — clean, considered, design-led.
Goodio’s identity carries a clean, considered, design-led spirit — a Finnish forest and a design collection. A Nordic sans captures the mood: it is neat and modern, the register of a Scandinavian design brand. Set in a berry-and-cacao palette, the Nordic sans feels clean and considered — exactly the personality Goodio carries. It is design-led rather than loud, mirroring an art-directed wrapper. (Goodio’s real packaging is work we describe but do not reproduce, and the exact typeface is not ours to use.) Because it is not ours to use, the honest description is “a Nordic sans spirit,” shown here in a stand-in. The type behaves like the brand: clean, considered and design-led.

Values as identity
Goodio stands for a chocolate you can trust.
Goodio is a lesson in making values the identity. A berry-and-cacao palette, a Nordic sans and a design-led look make trust the whole brand — clean, considered, design-led. The values are the differentiator. The differentiator is a vegan, Nordic, design-object identity.
For designers and brand-builders, Goodio offers a clear takeaway: make the values and the design one thing. The lessons: build on a clear position (vegan, organic, raw); use Nordic wild ingredients; treat the bar as a design object (named collections); and be honest about the story. It is also a reminder to stay accurate: it’s a 2015 Helsinki maker, its look is art-directed rather than austere, and the palette here is an unofficial interpretation. Goodio made values the brand — proof that trust, well-designed, can be the difference.
