Pinetti Brand Guidelines

Two constants: a calf-leather palette and a luxury serif register. Abstract homage — not the Pinetti desk set or wordmark.
The leather desk set
Pinetti wraps the desk in Italian leather.
Pinetti is a lesson in Italian leather craft as the identity. A family manufacturer near Bergamo, it makes leather-covered desk accessories — the desk pad and valet tray its signatures.
Its identity is the leather desk set. Pinetti’s desk pad, its Leslie valet tray, pencil cup and letter trays are the objects it is known for — calf leather, tailored, made in Italy. A desk dressed in leather. Quiet luxury for the workspace.
(Honest notes: Pinetti is an Italian leather-goods maker based in Bagnatica, in the province of Bergamo (not Bergamo city proper). Its atelier was founded in 1970 by Alberto Pinetti and his wife Ezia, becoming the leather company Pinetti in 1983; it is now run with their architect sons, Andrea and Lorenzo. Its core catalogue is genuine desk accessories: the desk pad, the Leslie valet tray, a square pencil cup, letter trays and paper bins, plus named desk sets — the Florida set and the Lettera set, a 2011 Wallpaper Design Award winner reinterpreting a 19th-century lap desk. On materials, it is genuine full-grain calf leather, not a bonded or regenerated leather, so we describe it accurately. On production, it is handcrafted in Italy, well documented. It is an independent family company. There’s no official brand hex — these tones are an unofficial interpretation. This is design commentary and does not promote any product.)
Colour
Pinetti lives in a calf-leather palette. Click a swatch to copy the hex.
Pinetti’s identity is tailored, warm and Italian — an oxblood, an ink, a leather tan, an espresso, and a cream. The palette leans calf leather — the register of tanned hide, stitching and quiet luxury. It signals craft and refinement rather than novelty. The honest caveat: with no published brand hex, these tones are an original, unofficial interpretation, not first-party values.
The lesson is a calf-leather palette signals tailored Italian craft. Pinetti’s world is a warm, tailored, leather object. For designers, it is a reminder that a desk can be dressed like a fine accessory — leather-wrapped, stitched, tailored — and that a calf-leather palette signals that luxury. Because an oxblood can fail as small text, keep type dark and let the colour live in the accents, palette and band. The takeaways: wrap it in leather; tailor it; make it in Italy; and treat any single hex as unofficial.
Typography
The register is a luxury serif — elegant, refined, Italian.
Pinetti’s identity carries an elegant, refined, Italian spirit — a tailored, leather object. A refined display serif captures the mood: it is graceful and considered, the register of Italian luxury. Set in a calf-leather palette, the luxury serif feels elegant and refined — exactly the personality Pinetti carries. It is Italian rather than loud, mirroring tailored leather. (Pinetti’s real desk set and wordmark are works we describe but do not reproduce, and the exact typeface is not ours to use.) Because it is not ours to use, the honest description is “a luxury serif spirit,” shown here in a stand-in. The type behaves like the brand: elegant, refined and Italian.

Italian leather craft as identity
Pinetti stands for the leather desk set.
Pinetti is a lesson in dressing the desk in leather. A calf-leather palette, a luxury serif and a leather desk pad make Italian leather craft the whole brand — tailored, warm, refined. The leather is the differentiator. The differentiator is treating desk accessories like fine leather goods — calf hide, stitching, tailoring — made in Italy.
Put to work, the identity is luxury applied to the workspace. A designer building in this spirit would take everyday desk objects and give them the materials and finish of fine leather goods, so a desk pad or a valet tray belongs with a good bag or wallet. The lesson Pinetti teaches is that material and making can define a category: covering desk objects in genuine calf leather, handcrafted in Italy, gives them a quiet luxury, and a refined, Italian design language keeps that craft consistent.
For designers and brand-builders, Pinetti offers a clear takeaway: hold the desk to a fine-leather standard. The lessons: wrap it in leather; tailor it; make it in Italy; and be honest about the story. It is also a reminder to stay accurate: the atelier dates to 1970 and the leather company to 1983, and it is based in Bagnatica near Bergamo — the palette here is an unofficial interpretation. And it is a reminder that material claims must be precise: it is genuine full-grain calf leather, not bonded, so we say so. It is a reminder, too, that made-where honesty can be a genuine boast: Pinetti is handcrafted in Italy, and that is worth stating plainly. It is a reminder, too, that a family lineage adds credibility: an atelier begun by a husband and wife in 1970 and now run with their architect sons gives the label a continuity of hand and eye worth telling straight. Pinetti made the leather desk set the brand — proof that Italian leather craft can be the difference.
