What size is a Facebook cover photo?
Facebook recommends an sRGB JPG 851 px wide and 315 px tall, under 100 KB, for the fastest loading. It must be at least 400 × 150. Facebook crops covers differently on computers and phones, so keep key content near the centre.
What size should Facebook post images be?
1080 px wide works well: 1080 × 1080 for square and 1080 × 1350 for portrait posts. For link previews, use 1200 × 630.
Why is my cover photo blurry?
Very small source images get stretched. Start with an image at least 851 px wide and save as JPG with high quality.
Will my image be cropped?
Only if you choose Fill. Drag the image to choose what stays in frame and use Zoom to tighten it. Choose Fit to keep the whole image — the empty space is filled with a blurred copy of your photo or a solid colour.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Resizing happens in your browser, so your photos never leave your device.
