Potty Chart
Make a potty chart with your child’s name and print it at home, free. The steps chart shows each potty step with a picture (sit on the potty, wipe, pull up pants, flush, wash hands) beside a sticker space for every day of the week, and you can change the steps to the words your family uses. Prefer something simpler? Print a numbered sticker path with small treats along the way, or a week split into morning, afternoon and evening. Choose dinosaurs, space, rainbows, a garden, the ocean, cars and trucks, or stars and hearts. Every sticker space is printed at the real size you pick, from 0.5 to 2 inches, so your stickers fit. All the pictures are our own simple drawings. Letter, A4, A5 or Half Letter; no sign-up, nothing uploaded.
100% private — everything runs in your browser. Your child’s name stays in your browser; the PDF is made on your device.

Steps and names
The picture is chosen from the words. Pick one with a bar: Sing a song | star. Pictures: potty, roll, pants, toilet, soap, drop, star, heart, trophy.
Leave empty for a “Name: ____” line.
Page and style
All pictures are our own simple drawings. Everything runs in your browser: nothing you type is uploaded, and your work autosaves only in this browser. PDF export uses jsPDF and svg2pdf.js (MIT licence); print at 100% (actual size). Typed text prints in Helvetica, so use Latin letters for names and notes.
How to make a potty chart
- Choose the chart: potty steps by day, a sticker path to a reward, or a week by time of day.
- Pick a theme, then measure your stickers across and choose the same sticker size.
- Change the steps or times of day if you like, and type your child’s name. Several names give one chart each.
- Add the reward, and for the path, a small treat every 3, 5 or 10 stickers.
- Download the PDF and print at 100% (actual size). The 1 in bar at the bottom of the page should measure exactly 1 inch.
What you can use it for
- A personal chart with your child’s name for the bathroom wall
- Showing the potty steps in pictures, for children who cannot read yet
- A sticker path with a small treat along the way
- One chart each for twins and siblings
- A matching chart for grandparents or a childminder
- A sheet of cut-out stickers when you have none in the house
Potty chart types
| Chart | On the page | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Potty steps by day | Up to 6 steps with pictures across the top, 7 days down the side, a sticker space for each | Showing each step in order |
| Sticker path | 5 to 50 numbered spaces from START to the reward, with optional small treats | One sticker each time |
| Week by time of day | Morning, afternoon and evening (or your own times) across 7 days | A simple look at the week |
| Cut-out stickers | A sheet of round stickers with our own pictures and short cheers | When you have no stickers at home |
Making the chart yours
- Let your child pick the theme and put the chart up at their eye level.
- Use your family’s own words in the steps: “Wee on the potty”, “Bye-bye flush” or “Bubbly hands”.
- Print a second copy for grandparents or a childminder, so everyone uses the same chart.
- For other routines, such as brushing teeth or tidying up, make a Reward Chart or a Chore Chart.
- Mark a full chart with a printable certificate, or design your own stickers with the Sticker Maker.

What is a potty chart?
A simple sticker chart for potty training. Your child adds a sticker after using the potty, and the full chart can lead to a small reward you agreed together. It is a fun way to mark the moment; you decide how to use it.
What should a potty chart include?
Your child’s name, spaces for stickers and something to look forward to. Many families also like to show the steps in pictures. The steps chart here has all of these, and you can edit each step.
Which chart should I choose?
The steps chart gives a sticker for each step, every day. The sticker path is simpler: one sticker each time, until the reward. The week chart gives a sticker for each part of the day.
How many stickers should earn the reward?
That is up to you. The path runs from 5 to 50 stickers, and you can add a small treat every 3, 5 or 10 stickers so the first treat is not far away. On the steps and week charts, type your own number in “Stickers for the reward”.
Will my stickers fit?
Yes, if you pick the right size. Measure a sticker across, choose that size, and print at 100% (actual size). Each space prints at that exact size, with a 1 in test bar at the bottom of the page. If a size does not fit the page, the tool uses the next size down and tells you.
I have no stickers. What can we use?
Tick “Add a sheet of cut-out stickers” for a page of round stickers at the same size, or let your child colour in each space or use a stamp.
When should my child start potty training?
This tool cannot tell you. Every child is different, so if you have questions about readiness or toileting, ask your doctor or health visitor.
Are there cartoon characters on the charts?
No. All the pictures are simple drawings of our own, such as a friendly dinosaur, a rocket or a rainbow, so there are no licensed characters.
Is it free?
Yes. No sign-up and no watermark, and the PDF is made in your browser.
