Flower Template

Print a flower template for free. Pick a flower with 4, 5, 6 or 8 petals, rounded or pointed, a daisy, a sunflower, a tulip, a spiral rose to cut and roll up, a leaf or a stem with two leaves, or one of each. Choose a size from 1 in to a 7 in full-page flower, or type any size up to 40 in: flowers bigger than one sheet are tiled with overlap guides, for a flower wall or a classroom door. Make a layered 3D flower set: the tool prints every layer in the sizes you choose, labelled with its size, to stack and glue. Or print as many flowers as you like on a sheet, or a flower garland that cuts as one strip. Add flower centres and petal veins to colour, a dashed outline for cutting practice, a hanging hole or names, one per flower. Download a true-size PDF on US Letter or A4, an SVG cut file or a PNG. No sign-up, no watermark.

Runs in your browser with our own code; your words and picture never leave your device, and nothing is saved. Every outline is our own drawing. Shapes bigger than one sheet are tiled with overlap guides. The PDF is true size: print at 100% (Actual size) and check the 50 mm bar on each sheet.

How to print a flower template

  1. Choose what to make: flowers of one size, a layered 3D flower set, or a flower garland.
  2. Choose the flower and a size in inches or cm, and how many (or fill the sheet). For a layered set choose the smallest and largest size and the step.
  3. Optional: tick inner lines, a dashed cutting line or a hanging hole; type names (one per flower); pick a colour or a pattern.
  4. Download the PDF and print at 100% (Actual size); check the 50 mm bar on each sheet. There is also an SVG (true size, for Cricut, Silhouette or laser cutters) and a 300 DPI PNG, one per sheet.
  5. Cut along the solid line. For the spiral rose, also cut along the spiral and roll it up; for a layered flower, stack the layers largest to smallest.

What you can use it for

  • Spring and Mother’s Day cards
  • Paper flower walls, backdrops and wreaths
  • Layered 3D flowers from card stock
  • Cutting practice and colouring for kids
  • Tracing templates for felt, fabric, quilting and appliqué

Every flower is drawn by our own code as one closed outline. Petal flowers, the daisy and the sunflower can also print as concentric rings; the tulip, rose, leaf and stem print as separate pieces.

Worked out by the tool for the 5 rounded petal flower. Separate pieces are packed onto as few sheets as possible and labelled with their size; concentric rings are one design, cut from the inside out (tiled when the largest is bigger than a sheet).

With the standard join (neighbours overlap by a tenth of their width, and the tool checks that every pair really touches). The tulip, rose, leaf and stem do not chain; the garland then uses the 5-petal flower.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes can I print?

Any size from half an inch to 40 inches. The presets go from 1 in to 7 in (one sheet) and 10, 12, 18 and 24 in, which are tiled over several sheets with overlap guides.

What does the size mean?

The flower fits a square of that size: a 4 in flower is 4 inches at its widest or tallest point. The line under the preview shows the exact width and height.

How do I make a layered 3D flower?

Choose “Layered 3D flower set”, a petal flower, the smallest and largest size and the step. Each layer prints as its own piece labelled with its size: stack them largest to smallest, turn each layer so its petals sit between the ones below, glue at the centre and curl the petals up.

How do I make the spiral rose?

Cut round the circle, then along the spiral line to the middle. Roll the strip up from the outside end and glue the roll onto the round base left in the centre.

How many flowers fit on one page?

It depends on the size: tick “Fill the sheet” and the tool fits as many as it can. The tables on this page show the counts for US Letter and A4.

Which flower is best for young children?

The 4 or 5 rounded petal flowers have the fewest, widest petals to cut. Tick the dashed outline for cutting practice.

Can I use it with a Cricut or Silhouette?

Yes. Download the SVG: it is true size in millimetres, with the outlines (and the rose spiral) on the cut layer.

Can I sell things I make with these flowers?

The designs are our own drawings: you may use them and anything you make with them, including things you sell, with no credit needed.
