4th of July Coloring Pages

Make free printable 4th of July coloring pages from 11 pictures we drew ourselves: a US flag, fireworks, star bunting, a picnic basket, an ice pop, a liberty bell, a bald eagle, a parade drum, a sparkler, a watermelon slice and a big star. The flag has all 50 stars and 13 stripes, drawn to the proportions set out in Executive Order 10834, so the stars sit in the same nine rows as on a real flag. There are no cartoon characters or brands on any page. Print one big picture on a page, a grid of four or six small pictures, a fireworks picnic scene with the flag, a fold-in-half card, or a star mandala with a new pattern at the press of a button. The lettering poster spells out “Happy 4th of July” in hollow letters to color, with the day worked out for any year from 2025 to 2035: Sunday, July 4, 2027. Type a child’s name for a name page such as “Happy 4th of July, Cora”, or paste a class list to get the same picture for everyone with each child’s name at the top. Choose simple, medium or detailed lines, never thinner than 0.5 mm. Download one multi-page PDF for US Letter or A4, a 300 DPI PNG of every page, or an SVG. No sign-up, no watermark.

Medium1.1 mm0.8 mmMost children, colored pencils

Line widths are measured at print size on the page. The thinnest line on any page is 0.5 mm. The flag’s 50 stars always use the small-details line, capped at 0.75 mm, so each star stays open to color.

  • Every page keeps a 12.7 mm (half inch) margin from the paper edge, on US Letter and A4.
  • Plain paper is fine for crayons and pencils; use thicker paper or card for markers and paint.
  • Print one page first and check it before printing a whole pack or class set.
  • Choose Detailed lines only with fine pens or sharp pencils, and Simple lines with chunky crayons.
  • For the card, print one side only, then fold the sheet in half with the picture on the outside; the inside stays blank for a message.

Frequently asked questions

Are these 4th of July coloring pages free?

Yes. Every page is free to make, download and print, with no sign-up and no watermark. All the pictures are our own drawings.

Is the flag drawn correctly?

Yes. The flag has 13 stripes and 50 stars in nine rows of 6 and 5 stars in turn, and its sizes follow the table in Executive Order 10834: 1.9 times as long as it is tall, with the blue union covering seven stripes.

How do I print the coloring pages?

Download the PDF and print it on plain paper. Choose 100% or Actual size to keep the margins as drawn; Fit to page also works if your printer cuts off the edges. Card or thicker paper takes markers and paint better.

Which pages suit toddlers and preschoolers?

Choose Simple lines: big shapes with thick outlines. The big star, the watermelon slice and the ice pop have the fewest shapes, as the table shows. The flag has many small stars, so it suits older children best.

When is the 4th of July in 2027?

Independence Day is on July 4. In 2027 July 4 is a Sunday, so the federal holiday is observed on Monday, July 5, 2027 (U.S. Office of Personnel Management).

Is there a 4th of July scene to color?

Yes. Choose Fireworks picnic scene: the flag on a pole, a picnic basket and a watermelon slice on the grass, and fireworks in the sky. Medium adds a third burst, stars and small flowers, and Detailed adds an ice pop.

Can I put my child’s name on a coloring page?

Yes. Choose Name page and type the name. The name is drawn in large hollow letters to color, under the greeting “Happy 4th of July,” with the flag, fireworks and an ice pop below.

Can I make a page for every child in my class or camp group?

Yes. Choose Class set, pick a picture and paste the names, one per line, up to 40. Each child gets the same picture with their own name in hollow letters at the top, all in one PDF.

Are there 4th of July coloring pages for adults?

Yes. Choose Star mandala with Detailed lines: each pattern number gives a different symmetric design with a ring of stars at the edge. Choose 16 repeats for the most intricate pattern.

Is anything uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Names and words are not sent anywhere, and nothing is saved when you close the page.
