Earth Day Coloring Pages

Make free printable Earth Day coloring pages from 12 pictures we drew ourselves: planet Earth, hands holding the Earth, a tree, recycling arrows, a seedling in a pot, a bee, the sun and a wind turbine, a river between hills, a reusable bag, a watering can, a bird in a nest and a butterfly. There are no cartoon characters, logos or brands on any page, and the recycling arrows are our own plain three-arrow loop. Print one big picture on a page, a grid of four or six small pictures, an Earth Day scene with a tree, a wind turbine and the sun, a fold-in-half card, or an Earth mandala of leaves with a new pattern at the press of a button. The lettering poster spells out “Earth Day” and the year in hollow letters to color, with the day and date worked out for any year from 2025 to 2035: Thursday, April 22, 2027. Type a child’s name for a name page such as “Happy Earth Day, Rowan”, or paste a class list to get the same picture for everyone with each child’s name at the top. Choose simple, medium or detailed lines: the same picture gets more to color, and the lines get finer, never thinner than 0.5 mm. Download everything as one multi-page PDF for US Letter or A4, a 300 DPI PNG of every page, or an SVG. No sign-up, no watermark.

  • Every page keeps a 12.7 mm (half inch) margin from the paper edge, on US Letter and A4.
  • Plain paper is fine for crayons and pencils; use thicker paper or card for markers and paint.
  • Print one page first and check it before printing a whole pack or class set.
  • Choose Detailed lines only with fine pens or sharp pencils, and Simple lines with chunky crayons.
  • For the card, print one side only, then fold the sheet in half with the picture on the outside; the inside stays blank for a message.

Frequently asked questions

Are these Earth Day coloring pages free?

Yes. Every page is free to make, download and print, with no sign-up and no watermark. All the pictures are our own drawings.

When is Earth Day?

Earth Day is on April 22 every year; the first one was in April 1970. In 2027 it falls on a Thursday. The poster works out the weekday for any year from 2025 to 2035.

How do I print the coloring pages?

Download the PDF and print it on plain paper. Choose 100% or Actual size to keep the margins as drawn; Fit to page also works if your printer cuts off the edges. Card or thicker paper takes markers and paint better.

Which pages suit toddlers and preschoolers?

Choose Simple lines: big shapes with thick outlines that are easy to stay inside. The recycling arrows, the tree and the reusable bag have the fewest shapes, as the table shows. Medium adds islands, apples, fish and leaf veins, and Detailed adds small flowers, stars and fine lines.

Is there an Earth Day scene to color?

Yes. Choose Earth Day scene: a tree, a seedling in a pot and a watering can on the grass, with a wind turbine, the sun and a cloud in the sky. Medium adds small flowers and a second cloud, and Detailed adds a bee and a butterfly.

Is the recycling symbol a logo?

No. It is our own simple loop of three arrows chasing each other round a triangle, drawn for this page. There are no organization logos on any page.

Can I put my child’s name on a coloring page?

Yes. Choose Name page and type the name. The name is drawn in large hollow letters to color, under the greeting “Happy Earth Day,” with the Earth, a tree and a bee below. You can change the greeting or remove it.

Can I make a page for every child in my class?

Yes. Choose Class set, pick a picture and paste the names, one per line, up to 40. Each child gets the same picture with their own name in hollow letters at the top, all in one PDF.

Are there Earth Day coloring pages for adults?

Yes. Choose Earth mandala with Detailed lines: each pattern number gives a different symmetric design with a ring of leaves at the edge. Choose 16 repeats for the most intricate pattern.

Is anything uploaded?

No. Everything runs in your browser. Names and words are not sent anywhere, and nothing is saved when you close the page.
