Tulip Template

Print a tulip template for free. Make a tulip from pieces (a flower head, a stem and two leaves to glue together) or cut the whole tulip out in one piece. Choose the flower head: a classic tulip with three points, a rounded cup or pointed petals. Set the height of the finished tulip from 4 in to 12 in and the tool sizes the head, stem and leaves to match. Make a bouquet of up to 60 tulips, add a bouquet wrap with your own words on it, and fill the sheet for a class set. Print the outline to colour, or a colour version in mixed colours or one colour you pick. A check square shows the print is true size. Download a PDF on US Letter or A4, an SVG cut file or a PNG. No sign-up, no watermark.

  2. Choose the height of the finished tulip and how many.
  3. Optional: a bouquet wrap with your words, the colour version or “Fill the sheet”.
  4. Download the PDF and print at 100% (Actual size); measure the check square. There is also an SVG (true size, for Cricut, Silhouette or laser cutters) and a 300 DPI PNG, one per sheet.

Frequently asked questions

How do I put the tulip together?

Glue the end of the stem marked “glue” behind the flower head, then glue one leaf on each side near the bottom of the stem. With “Whole tulip in one piece” there is nothing to glue.

How big are the pieces?

They are worked out from the height of the finished tulip: the head is about a third of it, the stem a little over two thirds (the top hides behind the head), and each leaf about two fifths. The table on this page lists them.

How do I make a bouquet?

Set how many tulips you want and tick “Bouquet wrap piece”. Glue the stems behind the wrap below the dashed line and fold the sides round them. Type your words for the wrap, or leave it blank.

Is there a colour version?

Yes: tick “Print in colour”. Choose mixed colours (red, pink, yellow, purple and orange in turn) or one colour for every flower. Stems and leaves print green.

How do I check the print is the right size?

Measure the check square on the first sheet: it must be exactly 1 in (or 2 cm with cm units) on each side. If it is smaller, print again at 100% or Actual size, not Fit to page.

Can I use it with a Cricut or Silhouette?

Yes. Download the SVG: it is true size in millimetres, with the cut lines on their own layer.

Can I sell things I make with these tulips?

The designs are our own drawings: you may use them and anything you make with them, including things you sell, with no credit needed.
