Polar Bear Template
Print a polar bear template for free. Choose a polar bear walking (side view), sitting (front view) or just its head, as an outline in one piece to colour and cut, or as a cotton-ball template with dotted circles all over the fur showing where to glue the cotton, keeping the eyes, nose and muzzle clear. Or print a sitting polar bear in 10 pieces to glue together: a body, a head with ears, a muzzle, a nose, two eyes, two front paws and two back feet. Set the size by the longest side, from 2 in to 7 1/2 in on one sheet, or a big bear up to 36 in tiled over several sheets, and fill the sheet with small bears for a class. Type names to print one on each bear. Print the outline, or a colour version in white, cream or pale grey. The bears are our own drawings. A check square shows the print is true size. Download a PDF on US Letter or A4, an SVG cut file or a PNG. No sign-up, no watermark.

How do I make a cotton-ball polar bear?
Choose “Cotton-ball polar bear”, print it and cut it out. Glue cotton balls over the dotted circles, a small patch at a time, and pull each one apart a little. A 7 1/2 in bear has 115 dots on the side view, 29 on the front view and 47 on the head.
Which views are there?
Three: a polar bear walking (side view), sitting (front view) and the head only. The pieces are for the sitting bear.
What pieces are in the polar bear craft?
Ten: a body, a head with ears, a muzzle, a nose, two eyes, two front paws and two back feet with pads drawn on. The table on this page lists the size of each piece on a 7 1/2 in bear.
What sizes can I print?
The size is the longest side: up to 7 1/2 in on one US Letter or A4 sheet in every view, and up to 36 in tiled over several sheets. The table on this page shows the widths and heights.
Is it a cartoon polar bear?
No. The bears are our own drawings in a simple, friendly style, not any cartoon, film or brand character.
How do I check the print is the right size?
Measure the check square on the first sheet: it must be exactly 1 in (or 2 cm with cm units) on each side. If it is smaller, print again at 100% or Actual size, not Fit to page.
Can I use it with a Cricut or Silhouette?
Yes. Download the SVG: it is true size in millimetres, with the cut lines on their own layer.
Can I sell things I make with these polar bears?
The designs are our own drawings: you may use them and anything you make with them, including things you sell, with no credit needed.
