Cosmic & conscious

Broken Planet built a cosmic, message-driven brand.

Broken Planet is a lesson in message and community as a brand. Founded in 2020 by Indrė Narbutaitė and Lukas Žvikas in London, the independent Gen-Z label grew fast on social-driven, drop-based streetwear with a cosmic, space theme and an emotive, message-forward voice.

Its brand identity is cosmic, conscious and community-driven — earthy, muted tracksuits and a signature oversized grey hoodie, planet and space motifs, a recurring “Broken Hearts” series and slogans like “Am I The Only One.” It markets itself as sustainable and runs a Broken Planet Foundation.

(Honest notes: the founders are Indrė Narbutaitė and Lukas Žvikas — verified via the UK company register — and it was founded in 2020 (not later). Its sustainability and mental-health messaging are brand-stated rather than independently audited, so we attribute them to the brand. There’s no official brand hex, so the tones here are an unofficial interpretation.)

Colour

Broken Planet lives in an earthy-cosmic palette. Click a swatch to copy the hex.

Broken Planet’s identity is earthy, muted and cosmic — a space navy, a muted sage, a dusty clay, a stone grey, and an off-white. The palette leans on muted, earthy neutrals with a deep space navy — the register of washed tracksuits, a grey hoodie and a night sky. It signals calm, consciousness and cosmic mood rather than loud hype. The honest caveat: with no published brand hex, these tones are an original, unofficial interpretation, not first-party values.

The lesson is muted, earthy neutrals signal a conscious mood. Broken Planet’s world is a washed hoodie under a night sky. For designers, it is a reminder that muted sage, dusty clay and a deep navy read as calm and cosmic — right for a message-driven, sustainability-minded brand. The takeaways: use muted earthy neutrals; add a deep space navy; and treat any single hex as unofficial — using navy for small text so the neutrals stay calm.

Typography

The register is a space grotesk — modern and cosmic.

Broken Planet’s identity carries a cosmic, modern, conscious spirit — space motifs and emotive messages. A modern, spacey grotesque captures the mood: it is clean and cosmic, the register of a mission patch and a minimalist slogan. Set in an earthy-cosmic palette, the space grotesk feels modern and cosmic — exactly the personality Broken Planet carries. It is clean rather than loud, mirroring a muted tracksuit. (Broken Planet’s real wordmark is a trademark we describe but do not reproduce, and the exact brand typeface is not ours to use.) Because the mark is not ours to use, the honest description is “a space grotesk spirit,” shown here in a stand-in. The type behaves like the brand: cosmic, modern and conscious.

Message as identity

Broken Planet stands for a cosmic, conscious message.

Broken Planet is a lesson in making a message the identity. An earthy-cosmic palette, a space theme and emotive, community-driven messaging make a conscious mood the whole brand — calm, cosmic, message-forward. The message is the differentiator. The differentiator is a cosmic, conscious, community-driven identity.

For designers and brand-builders, Broken Planet offers a clear takeaway: a message and a mood can be a brand. The lessons: build a coherent theme (cosmic, space); lead with emotion and community; and keep the palette calm and considered. It is also a reminder to stay accurate: the founders are Narbutaitė and Žvikas, it was founded in 2020, its sustainability claims are brand-stated, and the palette here is an unofficial interpretation. Broken Planet made a message the brand — proof that a mood can be the difference.
