Yeelight Brand Guidelines
The Xiaomi-ecosystem partner.

Two constants: an ecosystem-amber palette and an ecosystem-sans register. Abstract homage — not a Yeelight product or mark; no bulb, lamp or logo is reproduced.
The Xiaomi-ecosystem partner
Yeelight is the independent Qingdao lighting firm in Xiaomi’s ecosystem, an invested partner rather than a Xiaomi subsidiary.
Yeelight brings the round its ecosystem node — an independent Chinese lighting company that grew up inside Xiaomi’s smart-home ecosystem, close enough that some of its hardware carries Xiaomi’s Mijia brand, but a separate firm all the same. Its answer to a round about who owns the smart light and where it is made comes with the round’s subtlest ownership point: Yeelight is a partner Xiaomi invested in, not a company Xiaomi owns.
Its identity is the Xiaomi-ecosystem partner. The Xiaomi-ecosystem membership, the independent Qingdao company and the design-led, good-value lighting are the story here. A light, ecosystem-linked but independent. The Xiaomi-ecosystem partner.
(Honest notes, so the ownership is framed with real care, because this is easy to overstate. Yeelight sells design-led home lighting as its heroes — smart bulbs, ceiling lights, LED strips, monitor light bars, desk and ambient lamps, and night and sensor lights — and we report its language as the brand’s own. On the company: Yeelight is operated by Qingdao Yeelink Information Technology, based in Qingdao, China. On ownership, the correction that matters: Yeelight is an independent company and a member of Xiaomi’s ecosystem, the Mi Ecosystem, not a Xiaomi subsidiary — Xiaomi is a minority investor and ecosystem partner, not the owner, and we state it as a Xiaomi-invested ecosystem partner rather than Xiaomi-owned, noting the exact equity stake is not something we verified. On the Mijia link: some Yeelight-made products are sold under Xiaomi’s own Mijia brand and run in the Mi Home app, while Yeelight also sells under its own brand and app — but Yeelight is not Xiaomi, and Xiaomi is not responsible for Yeelight’s products. On positioning: mid-market, design-led, good value. On where it is made: China. Its designs and the Yeelight name are IP we describe but do not reproduce; there is no official brand hex; these tones are an unofficial interpretation.)
Colour
Yeelight lives in an ecosystem amber. Click a swatch to copy the hex.
Yeelight’s identity is design-led, connected and good-value — an ecosystem amber, an ink, a pale peach, a deep rust, and a paper. The palette leans ecosystem amber and pale peach: a warm, considered register that nods to design-led home lighting rather than a loud logo colour. It signals the Xiaomi-ecosystem partner — design-led, connected and good-value. The honest caveat: with no official brand hex, these values are an original, unofficial interpretation, not first-party colours, and the amber here is our own choice, not a nod to any partner’s brand colour.
The lesson is an ecosystem amber signals a design-led, connected identity. Yeelight’s world is a warm, well-made lamp that plugs into a bigger smart-home platform. For designers, it is a reminder that a warm amber and a soft peach can carry a lighting brand — a considered tone held as an accent, not a product shot. Because a warm hue can fail as small text, keep type dark and let the colour live in the accents, palette and band. The takeaways: keep Yeelight independent — a Xiaomi-invested ecosystem partner, not a subsidiary; note that some hardware ships as Mijia; keep it design-led and good value; and place manufacturing in China.
Typography
The register is an ecosystem sans — design-led, connected, good-value.
Yeelight’s identity carries a design-led, connected, good-value spirit — a considered lighting brand inside a platform, not a faceless OEM. An ecosystem sans captures the mood: clean, warm and modern, the register of a design-led home light. Set in an ecosystem-amber palette, the ecosystem sans feels design-led and connected — exactly the personality Yeelight carries. It behaves like a made, considered thing rather than a loud logo, mirroring a light diffusion and an RGB gradient. (Yeelight’s real products and the name are things we describe but do not reproduce, and the exact typeface is not ours to use.) Because it is not ours to use, the honest description is “an ecosystem-sans brand,” shown here in a stand-in. The type behaves like the brand: design-led, connected and good-value.

The smart light
Yeelight stands for the Xiaomi-ecosystem partner.
Yeelight brings the round its ecosystem node. An ecosystem-amber palette, an ecosystem sans and a Qingdao base make one thing — the Xiaomi-ecosystem partner — the whole identity: design-led, connected and good-value. The Xiaomi-ecosystem membership is the frame, and the design-led lighting is the proof. The point is an independent firm inside a platform, in a round about who owns the smart light and where it is made.
Put to work, the identity is the brand told straight, the ownership kept precise. A brand in this spirit would keep Yeelight an independent, Xiaomi-invested ecosystem partner rather than a subsidiary, note that some hardware ships under Mijia, and keep it design-led and good value. A reader in this spirit would keep the facts right: Yeelight sells design-led bulbs, ceiling lights and lamps as heroes; it is operated by Qingdao Yeelink Information Technology in Qingdao; it is an independent member of Xiaomi’s ecosystem, invested in but not owned; some Yeelight-made products carry Xiaomi’s Mijia brand; and it is made in China. Yeelight sits fifth in the round, after Twinkly. The honest editorial moves are to keep it independent, to state the Xiaomi tie as investment and ecosystem, to note the Mijia link, and to place manufacturing in China.
For designers and brand-builders, Yeelight continues the smart light: grow inside a platform — and describe the relationship without overstating it. The lessons: a company can build its brand inside a bigger ecosystem while staying independent; a big partner’s investment is not the same as ownership, and Yeelight is Xiaomi-invested, not a Xiaomi subsidiary; a shared retail brand, here Mijia, does not merge the companies; and origin is placed plainly. It is also a reminder to stay precise: Yeelight is the independent Qingdao lighting firm in Xiaomi’s ecosystem, an invested partner rather than a Xiaomi subsidiary — with the palette here an unofficial interpretation. The hook is that nuance: Yeelight is close enough to Xiaomi that some of its lamps ship as Mijia and run in Mi Home, yet it is its own company, an invested ecosystem partner rather than a subsidiary. Read that way, Yeelight is less a Xiaomi house brand than the Xiaomi-ecosystem partner: design-led, connected, good-value. The lesson for a brand is that platform membership and an honestly bounded ownership claim reinforce each other, and calling Xiaomi an investor rather than an owner keeps the story earned. Yeelight made the-Xiaomi-ecosystem-partner the identity — proof that a precise relationship can carry a round.
