Grizzl-E Brand Guidelines
The made-in-Canada rugged.

Two constants: a rugged-rust palette and a rugged-sans register. Abstract homage — not a Grizzl-E product or mark; no charger, plug or logo is reproduced.
The made-in-Canada rugged
Grizzl-E is United Chargers’ rugged, made-in-Ontario home charger, sold on durability and value.
Grizzl-E brings the round its made-in-Canada node — a rugged, all-weather home charger built in Ontario and sold on plain durability and value. Its answer to a round about who owns the charger and where it is made is an unusually clean one: a Canadian company that designs and builds at home, a genuine made-in-Canada point in a category mostly made in Asia.
Its identity is the made-in-Canada rugged. The rugged, all-weather build, the made-in-Ontario manufacturing and the simple, affordable value are the story here. A charger, tough and Canadian. The made-in-Canada rugged.
(Honest notes, so the maker, the manufacturing and the durability claims are framed accurately. Grizzl-E sells rugged home charging as its heroes — the Classic and Classic Connect at forty amps, socketed or hardwired, the dual Duo, the portable Mini, the smart Ultimate at up to eighty amps and a lower-cost Alpha Classic, all AC Level 2 with no bidirectional option — with the smart models adding app scheduling, cost tracking and load management; we report its language as the brand’s own. On the maker: Grizzl-E is a brand of United Chargers, a private Canadian company in Ontario. On the point that matters most: Grizzl-E states its chargers are designed and manufactured in Ontario, a genuine made-in-Canada claim and a real differentiator against Asia-made rivals, and it reports having sold hundreds of thousands of units since 2019. On positioning: budget and value, built around ruggedness and all-weather operation across a wide temperature range, with award mentions from mainstream reviewers. On a caution: we found no formal safety recall, but we could not confirm the recall record either way, so we do not claim it has never had one; scattered community complaints about nuisance trips or firmware are anecdotal, not a regulatory recall, and are not treated as one. Its designs, the Grizzl-E and United Chargers names are IP we describe but do not reproduce; there is no official brand hex; these tones are an unofficial interpretation.)
Colour
Grizzl-E lives in a rugged rust. Click a swatch to copy the hex.
Grizzl-E’s identity is rugged, plain and value-minded — a rugged rust, an ink, a pale clay, a deep umber, and a paper. The palette leans rugged rust and pale clay: a warm, hard-wearing register that nods to a tough, outdoor-rated device rather than a loud logo colour. It signals the made-in-Canada rugged — rugged, plain and value-minded. The honest caveat: with no official brand hex, these values are an original, unofficial interpretation, not first-party colours.
The lesson is a rugged rust signals a rugged, value-minded identity. Grizzl-E’s world is a tough charger bolted to a wall through a Canadian winter. For designers, it is a reminder that a warm rust and a soft clay can carry a value hardware brand built on durability — a hard-wearing tone held as an accent, not a product shot. Because a warm hue can fail as small text, keep type dark and let the colour live in the accents, palette and band. The takeaways: attribute Grizzl-E to United Chargers; state the genuine made-in-Canada, Ontario manufacturing; keep it rugged value; and do not claim a spotless recall record we could not verify.
Typography
The register is a rugged sans — rugged, plain, value-minded.
Grizzl-E’s identity carries a rugged, plain, value-minded spirit — a durable, no-nonsense brand, not a design flagship. A rugged sans captures the mood: sturdy, plain and practical, the register of a tough, affordable device. Set in a rugged-rust palette, the rugged sans feels rugged and plain — exactly the personality Grizzl-E carries. It behaves like a made, hard-wearing thing rather than a loud logo, mirroring a charge arc and a connector-pin grid. (Grizzl-E’s real products and the names are things we describe but do not reproduce, and the exact typeface is not ours to use.) Because it is not ours to use, the honest description is “a rugged-sans brand,” shown here in a stand-in. The type behaves like the brand: rugged, plain and value-minded.

The EV charger
Grizzl-E stands for the made-in-Canada rugged.
Grizzl-E brings the round its made-in-Canada node. A rugged-rust palette, a rugged sans and Ontario manufacturing make one thing — the made-in-Canada rugged — the whole identity: rugged, plain and value-minded. The rugged, all-weather build is the pitch, and the made-in-Ontario manufacturing is the proof. The point is a genuine made-in-Canada charger in a mostly Asia-made category, in a round about who owns the charger and where it is made.
Put to work, the identity is the brand told straight, the maker named and the manufacturing claimed only because it is real. A brand in this spirit would attribute Grizzl-E to United Chargers, state the genuine made-in-Canada Ontario manufacturing, and keep it rugged value. A reader in this spirit would keep the facts right: Grizzl-E sells rugged Classic, Duo, Mini and Ultimate chargers as heroes; it is a brand of United Chargers, a private Canadian company; it designs and manufactures in Ontario, a real made-in-Canada point; it has sold hundreds of thousands of units since 2019; and no spotless recall record is claimed beyond what could be verified. Grizzl-E sits fifth in the round, after Emporia. The honest editorial moves are to attribute it to United Chargers, to state the Ontario manufacturing, to keep it rugged value, and not to over-claim on recalls.
For designers and brand-builders, Grizzl-E continues the EV charger: own a genuine made-in-Canada story — and claim only what the record supports. The lessons: a value brand can differentiate on a real origin, here made in Ontario, in a category otherwise made in Asia; a made-in claim is stated because it is genuine, not applied by habit; ruggedness and all-weather operation are a coherent value position; and a clean recall record is not claimed when it cannot be verified. It is also a reminder to stay precise: Grizzl-E is United Chargers’ rugged, made-in-Ontario home charger, sold on durability and value — with the palette here an unofficial interpretation. The hook is that origin: Grizzl-E genuinely designs and builds its rugged chargers in Ontario, a real made-in-Canada point that most rivals cannot claim, and sells them on plain toughness and value rather than design flourish. Read that way, Grizzl-E is less a generic box than the made-in-Canada rugged: rugged, plain, value-minded. The lesson for a brand is that a genuine origin story and disciplined claiming reinforce each other, and only claiming what is verified keeps the story earned. Grizzl-E made the-made-in-Canada-rugged the identity — proof that a real origin can carry a round.
