KB per image — each file is shrunk until it is under this size

Metadata is removed by default (uncheck to keep EXIF). PNG keeps transparency; JPEG/WebP/AVIF use a white background when enabled. AVIF output requires a modern browser. Files never leave your device.

Frequently asked questions

How do I compress an image to 30KB?

Drop the image in and click “Compress & download”. The target is preset to 30 KB, and the tool lowers quality and, if needed, dimensions until the file is under that size.

Will my file be exactly 30KB?

It will be just under 30 KB. The tool aims about 3% below the limit so the file passes upload checks whether a site counts 1 KB as 1,000 or 1,024 bytes.

Why does my image get smaller in pixels?

30 KB is a tight limit, so if lowering the quality isn't enough, the tool also scales the image down. Crop away empty space first for the sharpest result.

Which format compresses smallest?

JPG (or WebP) reaches small sizes with the best quality for photos. PNG is lossless, so very small PNG targets mostly work by shrinking the image dimensions — switch the output to JPG if the result looks too small.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Compression happens entirely in your browser, so photos, IDs and signatures never leave your device.
