Fluance Brand Guidelines
Value hi-fi from Niagara.

Two constants: a walnut-brown palette and a value-sans register. Abstract homage — not a Fluance product or mark; no turntable, platter or logo is reproduced.
Value hi-fi from Niagara
Fluance is the Canadian DTC hi-fi brand from Niagara Falls that designs in Ontario and manufactures its turntables in Taiwan.
Fluance follows U-Turn as the round’s value node — a Canadian direct-to-consumer hi-fi brand from Niagara Falls that built a value-per-dollar name in speakers before entering turntables, designing in Ontario and building in Taiwan. Its answer to a round about who owns the turntables and where they are made is a candid value one: a founder-led Canadian brand, designed at home and made in Taiwan.
Its identity is value hi-fi from Niagara. The Canadian founding, the value positioning and the Ontario-design, Taiwan-made split are the story here. Fidelity per dollar. Value hi-fi from Niagara.
(Honest notes, so the founding, the ownership and the making are framed accurately. Fluance sells turntables, powered speakers and home audio as its heroes — the Classic RT80, the Elite RT81 and the Reference RT82 through RT85, belt-drive with acrylic platters and Ortofon cartridges on the higher tiers; we report its language as the brand’s own. On origin: Fluance was founded in 1999 by Deepak Jain and is headquartered in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, starting in speakers and entering turntables around 2016, and it marked its twenty-fifth anniversary in 2024. On ownership: it is private and founder-led, with no acquisition on record. On where it is made: per Fluance’s own support page, its turntables are designed in Ontario, Canada and manufactured in Taiwan, so we say designed in Canada and made in Taiwan, and we do not say China. On the name: Fluance describes it as fusing flu, for flowing or wave, with ance, for a state of being. Its designs and the Fluance name are IP we describe but do not reproduce; there is no official brand hex; these tones are an unofficial interpretation.)
Colour
Fluance lives in a walnut brown. Click a swatch to copy the hex.
Fluance’s identity is value-driven, founder-led and Taiwan-made — a walnut brown, an ink, a pale walnut, a deep walnut, and a paper. The palette leans walnut brown and pale walnut: a warm, woody register that nods to walnut plinths and home hi-fi rather than a loud logo colour. It signals value hi-fi from Niagara — value-driven, founder-led and Taiwan-made. The honest caveat: with no official brand hex, these values are a woody, unofficial interpretation, not first-party colours.
The lesson is a walnut brown signals a warm, value hi-fi identity. Fluance’s world is the affordable turntable with a wood plinth. For designers, it is a reminder that a walnut brown and a soft pale can carry a warm, value hi-fi brand — a woody tone held as an accent, not a product shot. Because a mid hue can fail as small text, keep type dark and let the colour live in the accents, palette and band. The takeaways: credit Deepak Jain and the 1999 Niagara founding; note the 2016 move into turntables; describe the making as designed-in-Ontario, made-in-Taiwan, not China; and credit the value positioning.
Typography
The register is a value sans — value-driven, founder-led, Taiwan-made.
Fluance’s identity carries a value-driven, founder-led, Taiwan-made spirit — a Canadian value house with a wood-and-acrylic look. A value sans captures the mood: clean, friendly and honest, the register of an accessible hi-fi brand. Set in a walnut-brown palette, the value sans feels warm and approachable — exactly the personality Fluance carries. It behaves like a made, everyday thing rather than a loud logo, mirroring a disc-band and a platter-ring. (Fluance’s real products and the name are things we describe but do not reproduce, and the exact typeface is not ours to use.) Because it is not ours to use, the honest description is “a value-sans brand,” shown here in a stand-in. The type behaves like the brand: value-driven, founder-led and Taiwan-made.

The turntable node
Fluance stands for value hi-fi from Niagara.
Fluance sits third in the round as its value node. A walnut-brown palette, a value sans and a Niagara founding make one thing — value hi-fi from Niagara — the whole identity: value-driven, founder-led and Taiwan-made. The Canadian founding is the pitch, the value positioning is the promise, and the Ontario-design, Taiwan-made split is the honest detail. The point is a founder-led Canadian value house, in a round about who owns the turntables and where they are made.
Put to work, the identity is the brand told straight, the making corrected and the value credited. A brand in this spirit would credit Deepak Jain and the 1999 Niagara founding, note the 2016 move into turntables, describe the making as designed-in-Ontario and made-in-Taiwan, and credit the value positioning. A reader in this spirit would keep the facts right: Fluance sells the RT80, RT81 and RT85 turntables and powered speakers as its heroes; it was founded in 1999 by Deepak Jain in Niagara Falls, Ontario, entering turntables around 2016; it is private and founder-led; and its turntables are designed in Ontario and manufactured in Taiwan, per the company, not China. Fluance sits after U-Turn and before Music Hall. The honest editorial moves are to credit the founder, to note the turntable move, to correct the making, and to credit the value.
For designers and brand-builders, Fluance carries the turntable node: correct the country of manufacture — and own the value positioning. The lessons: a brand can win on value, here fidelity-per-dollar direct to consumers; a founder, Deepak Jain, and a 1999 Niagara founding are credited; a making is corrected to designed-in-Ontario and made-in-Taiwan, per the company’s own site, rather than the common assumption of China; and the value positioning is owned rather than hidden. It is also a reminder to stay precise: Fluance is the founder-led Canadian value hi-fi brand, made in Taiwan — with the palette here an unofficial interpretation. The hook is that name: Fluance fuses flu, for flowing or wave, with ance, for a state of being, per the company, a Canadian value-hi-fi house that entered turntables in 2016 and now designs in Ontario and builds in Taiwan. Read that way, Fluance is less a single turntable than value hi-fi from Niagara: value-driven, founder-led, Taiwan-made. The lesson for a brand is that correcting the country and owning the value reinforce each other, and crediting the founder keeps the story earned. Fluance made value-hi-fi-from-Niagara the identity — proof that an honest value story can anchor a node.
