The Indian value halo

Noise is the Indian value-wearables brand (Nexxbase) whose Luna Ring is a premium halo, backed by a Bose minority investment.

Noise closes the smart-ring round as its value-halo node — one of India’s largest wearables brands, whose Luna Ring is a premium halo product atop a value smartwatch-and-audio business. Its answer to a round about who owns the smart ring and where it is made is an Indian one, honest about a label: an Indian brand with a Bose minority investment, whose ring is China-made despite a growing Make-in-India assembly effort.

Its identity is the Indian value halo. The Indian value-wearables base, the Luna Ring as a premium halo and the Bose-minority-not-owner nuance are the story here. A ring, a halo. The Indian value halo.

(Honest notes, so the ownership, the product’s place and the manufacturing are framed accurately, with corrections. Noise sells value smartwatches and audio as its core, with the Luna Ring as a newer premium halo — a titanium ring tracking dozens of metrics with about a week of battery, now on its own storefront and marketed with no subscription — and we report its language as the brand’s own. On ownership: Noise is the consumer brand of Nexxbase Marketing, a private Indian company based in Gurugram, founded in 2014 by brothers Gaurav and Amit Khatri; it was historically bootstrapped, and since 2023 has a strategic minority investment from Bose, which is also an audio-tuning partner and a distribution client — so Bose is a minority investor and partner, not an owner, and Noise is not owned by Bose. On a correction: an occasionally-cited link to an insurance company is a mix-up and we do not mention it. On the product’s place: Noise is not a smart-ring company — the Luna Ring is a halo product atop a value smartwatch-and-audio business. On manufacturing, honestly: the Luna Ring’s own site labels its origin as China, and while a Make-in-India assembly joint venture is real and growing, we do not claim the Luna Ring itself is India-made. On market position: it is one of India’s largest wearables brands by volume, in a contracting Indian smartwatch market, so we say one of the largest rather than an unqualified number one. Its designs, the Noise and Luna names are IP we describe but do not reproduce — the protectable asset is the stylization, not the common words; there is no verified brand hex; these tones are an unofficial interpretation.)

Colour

Noise lives in a luna indigo. Click a swatch to copy the hex.

Noise’s identity is value, mass-market and premium-reaching — a luna indigo, an ink, a pale periwinkle, a deep indigo, and a paper. The palette leans luna indigo and pale periwinkle: a clean, premium-reaching register that nods to the Luna Ring’s upmarket halo rather than a loud logo colour, and not to the core brand’s louder red accents. It signals the Indian value halo — value, mass-market and premium-reaching. The honest caveat: with no verified brand hex, these values are an original, unofficial interpretation, not first-party colours.

The lesson is a luna indigo signals a value, premium-reaching identity. Noise’s world is a value wearables brand stretching up to a premium ring. For designers, it is a reminder that a clean luna indigo and a soft pale periwinkle can carry a hardware brand — a premium-reaching tone held as colour, not a product shot. Because these tones can fail as small text, keep type dark and let the colour live in the accents, palette and band. The takeaways: name Nexxbase and keep Bose as a minority investor, not owner; do not mention the insurance mix-up; frame Luna as a halo atop a value business; say the Luna Ring is China-labelled despite Make-in-India assembly; and say one of India’s largest, not an unqualified number one.

The register is a value sans — value, mass-market, premium-reaching.

Noise’s identity carries a value, mass-market, premium-reaching spirit — a value-wearables leader stretching upmarket, not a luxury house. A value sans captures the mood: clean, plain and confident, the register of a mass-market brand reaching for a premium halo. Set in a luna-indigo palette, the value sans feels value and premium-reaching — exactly the personality Noise carries. It behaves like a made, functional thing rather than a loud logo, mirroring a concentric-ring arc and a pulse wave. (Noise’s real products and the names are things we describe but do not reproduce, and the exact typeface is not ours to use.) Because it is not ours to use, the honest description is “a value-sans brand,” shown here in a stand-in. The type behaves like the brand: value, mass-market and premium-reaching.

The smart ring

Noise stands for the Indian value halo.

Noise closes the smart-ring round as its value-halo node. A luna-indigo palette, a value sans and a 2014 founding make one thing — the Indian value halo — the whole identity: value, mass-market and premium-reaching. The Indian value-wearables base is the frame, and the Luna Ring premium halo is the reach. The point is a value brand stretching upmarket with a ring, in a round about who owns the smart ring and where it is made.

Put to work, the identity is the brand told straight, the ownership kept precise and the manufacturing labelled honestly. A brand in this spirit would name Nexxbase and keep Bose as a minority investor not owner, frame Luna as a halo atop a value business, and say the Luna Ring is China-labelled despite Make-in-India assembly. A reader in this spirit would keep the facts right: Noise sells value smartwatches and audio at its core, with the Luna Ring as a premium halo; it is the brand of Nexxbase Marketing, founded in 2014 by the Khatri brothers; Bose is a minority investor and partner, not an owner; the Luna Ring’s origin is labelled China; and it is one of India’s largest wearables brands by volume. Noise closes the round, after Samsung Galaxy Ring. The honest editorial moves are to name Nexxbase, to keep Bose a minority investor, to frame Luna as a halo, to label the ring China-made, and to say one of the largest, not number one.

For designers and brand-builders, Noise closes the smart ring: stretch a value brand to a premium halo — and keep an investor relationship and a made-in label precise. The lessons: a value-wearables leader can reach upmarket with a premium halo product; a strategic minority investment, here from Bose, is not ownership, and the distinction matters; a made-in claim must follow the product’s own label, so a China-labelled ring is not called India-made despite a Make-in-India assembly push; and market leadership should be phrased as one of the largest when the market is contracting. It is also a reminder to stay precise: Noise is the Indian value-wearables brand (Nexxbase) whose Luna Ring is a premium halo, backed by a Bose minority investment — with the palette here an unofficial interpretation. The hook is that stretch: Noise built one of India’s largest wearables businesses on value smartwatches and audio, then reached upmarket with the Luna Ring, a premium halo — an Indian brand with a Bose minority stake, not owned by Bose, whose ring is China-labelled even as Make-in-India assembly grows. It closes a round that runs from an Indian challenger to a global chaebol to this value-to-premium stretch. Read that way, Noise is less a ring specialist than the Indian value halo: value, mass-market, premium-reaching. The lesson for a brand is that a premium halo and precise ownership-and-origin framing reinforce each other, and keeping Bose a minority investor keeps the story earned. Noise made the-Indian-value-halo the identity — proof that a value brand’s reach can close a round.

Source & notes

Editorial reference. This article reports publicly documented facts about Noise’s visual identity as design commentary; it is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Noise, Nexxbase or Bose. The Noise and Luna names and their designs are IP of their owners — the graphics here are original abstract homages (colour discs and concentric-ring / pulse-wave texture swatches); no ring, sensor or logo is reproduced, and all specimen text is set in a Google-Font stand-in. Facts reported: Noise is the consumer brand of Nexxbase Marketing Private Limited, a private Indian company headquartered in Gurugram (Gurgaon), Haryana, founded in 2014 by brothers Gaurav Khatri (CEO) and Amit Khatri (starting in phone cases, then wearables/audio); historically bootstrapped, it has, since December 2023, a strategic minority investment from Bose Corporation (which is also an audio-tuning partner — “Sound by Bose” — and a distribution client); its core business is value smartwatches and audio, with the Luna Ring a newer premium halo (unveiled July 2023, retail from October 2023; titanium, ~70 metrics, ~7-day battery, HR/SpO2/skin-temp, sleep/recovery), now on its own storefront marketed with no subscription. Honest notes: ⚠ Bose is a minority investor and partner, NOT an owner — Noise is not “owned by Bose”; a sometimes-cited link to an insurance company (Go Digit) is a mix-up and is not mentioned; ⚠ Noise is not a smart-ring company — the Luna Ring is a halo product atop a value smartwatch/audio business; ⚠ the Luna Ring’s own site labels its country of origin as China, and while a Make-in-India assembly JV is real and growing, the Luna Ring itself is not claimed to be India-made; it is one of India’s largest wearables brands by volume (in a contracting market — phrased as “one of the largest,” not an unqualified No. 1); “Sound by Bose” is Bose’s mark, attributed to Bose; the Noise/NoiseFit/Luna marks (protectable as stylization) are protected. No official brand hex is verified, so the tones here are an unofficial interpretation.
