Maiora Brand Guidelines
The Delta inheritance.

Two constants: a wine palette and a bold sans register. Abstract homage — not a Maiora pen or wordmark.
The Delta inheritance
Maiora carries Naples’ Delta pen-making tradition forward, hand-turning ebonite and resin in Italy.
Maiora is a lesson in a lineage carried forward as the identity. A Naples pen maker, it hand-turns bold, oversized fountain pens from Italian ebonite and resin — founded by a Delta co-founder to carry that Neapolitan craft forward after Delta closed. A pen, made in Naples in a continued tradition.
Its identity is the Delta inheritance. Maiora’s hand-turned, made-in-Italy ebonite and resin pens, bold and colourful, are the work it is known for. A lineage, made a signature. A maker that kept a craft alive.
(Honest notes, so the story stays precise. Maiora was founded in January 2018 in Naples by Nino Marino, a co-founder of the celebrated Italian brand Delta, which ran from 1978 until 2017; Marino later bought the Delta brand and assets in 2022, so Maiora shares Delta’s workshop lineage. It is independent and founder-led, and its pens are genuinely made in Naples, hand-turned from solid Italian ebonite and resin — its location is Campania, near Naples, not the region sometimes given. One honest caveat: the nibs are third-party units from the German maker JoWo, engraved with the Maiora name, so the Italian craft is the body, not the nib. Its designs are its IP, described but never reproduced, and there is no official brand hex — these tones are an unofficial interpretation. This is design commentary and does not promote any product.)
Colour
Maiora lives in a wine palette. Click a swatch to copy the hex.
Maiora’s identity is bold, warm and Italian — a wine, an ink, a blush, a gold, and a cream. The palette leans wine and gold: the register of a rich, oversized Italian pen. It signals warmth and craft over restraint. The honest caveat: with no published brand hex, these values are an original, unofficial interpretation, not first-party colours.
The lesson is a wine palette signals a bold, warm identity. Maiora’s world is a hand-turned, made-in-Naples, colourful object. For designers, it is a reminder that a deep wine and a warm gold can carry a brand built on a lineage — the wine of a rich resin and the gold of an Italian trim. Because these tones can fail as small text, keep type dark and let the colour live in the accents, palette and band. The takeaways: carry the craft forward; make it in Naples; be bold; and treat any single hex as unofficial.
Typography
The register is a bold sans — confident, warm, modern.
Maiora’s identity carries a confident, warm, modern spirit — a bold object, not a timid one. A bold sans captures the mood: strong, even and contemporary, the register of an oversized Italian pen. Set in a wine palette, the bold sans feels confident and warm — exactly the personality Maiora carries. It is modern rather than austere, mirroring a bold, hand-turned pen with a heritage. (Maiora’s real designs and wordmark are things we describe but do not reproduce, and the exact typeface is not ours to use.) Because it is not ours to use, the honest description is “a bold-sans spirit,” shown here in a stand-in. The type behaves like the maker: confident, warm and modern.

A lineage carried forward as identity
Maiora stands for the Delta inheritance.
Maiora is a lesson in making a carried-forward lineage the identity. A wine palette, a bold sans and hand-turned Italian pens make a continued craft the whole maker — bold, warm and Italian. The lineage is the differentiator. The differentiator is a genuine continuity — a Delta co-founder keeping a Neapolitan pen-making tradition alive after Delta closed, hand-turning pens in Naples and later acquiring the Delta name.
Put to work, the identity is a lineage as design. A maker building in this spirit would carry a real craft heritage forward rather than invent one, keep the making in its home city, and let bold materials be the look, so the customer buys into a continued tradition rather than a start-up. It would treat the Delta connection as a genuine inheritance, honestly stated. It would be clear that the nib is bought in. The lesson Maiora teaches is that a carried-forward lineage can build a brand: the heritage gives it depth, and the Naples making gives it authenticity. The lineage is the personality, and the making is the proof.
For designers and brand-builders, Maiora offers a clear takeaway: carry a real craft forward and make it at home. The lessons: continue the tradition; make it in Naples; be bold; and be honest about the nib. It is also a reminder to stay precise: Maiora is an independent Naples maker founded in 2018 by the Delta co-founder Nino Marino, hand-turning Italian ebonite and resin pens — with the palette here an unofficial interpretation. Maiora made the Delta inheritance the maker — proof that a carried-forward lineage can be the difference.
