Xingyu Brand Guidelines
The Chinese work glove.

Two constants: a factory-blue palette and a factory-sans register. Abstract homage — not a Xingyu glove, logo or safety mark.
The Chinese work glove
Xingyu is the Chinese work-glove maker founded in Shandong in 1992, a named brand producing protective gloves at industrial scale in the country where most of the world’s gloves are made.
Xingyu is China’s entry in the glove around the world — and, fittingly, the largest-scale maker in it. From Gaomi, in Shandong Province, Xingyu makes protective work gloves — cut-, impact- and chemical-resistant, winter, knitted — at industrial volume. Its answer to how a glove becomes a name is scale and ownership: be a named Chinese brand that makes gloves at home, in the country that makes most of the world’s. A work glove, from the world’s glove workshop.
Its identity is the Chinese work glove. Xingyu’s protective work gloves, and its at-scale Chinese manufacture, are the work it is known for. A glove, for the job. A named maker, where the gloves are made.
(Honest notes, so the story stays precise, and neutrally. Xingyu — Shandong Xingyu Gloves — is a modern private Chinese manufacturer, founded, by the company’s own account, in 1992, and based in Gaomi, in Shandong, with operations also in Qingdao and Weifang; it is a contemporary company, not a state-era heritage house. On where its gloves are made, the crux of this round, Xingyu is the plainest case of all: it makes in China, at its own Shandong plants, and that is exactly the point — China is where most of the world’s work gloves are made, and here is a named Chinese brand doing it at home rather than a Western label quietly offshoring. Its scale figures — thousands of employees, many production lines, millions of pairs a day — are the company’s own statements, which we attribute and do not assert, noting the figures vary between its pages. It presents as a private company; we do not claim any stock listing. We keep strictly to its documented commercial facts and take no position on any supply-chain politics. Its name and any certification marks are IP, described but never reproduced, and there is no official brand hex; these tones are an unofficial interpretation. This is design commentary and does not promote any product.)
Colour
Xingyu lives in a factory-blue palette. Click a swatch to copy the hex.
Xingyu’s identity is industrial, Chinese and at-scale — a factory blue, an ink, a steel, a navy, and a paper. The palette leans factory blue and steel: the register of a work glove and a production line. It signals manufacture over marketing. The honest caveat: with no published brand hex, these values are an original, unofficial interpretation, not first-party colours.
The lesson is a factory-blue palette signals an industrial, made-in-China identity. Xingyu’s world is an industrial, protective, Chinese object. For designers, it is a reminder that a deep factory blue and a soft steel can carry a brand built on work gloves — the blue of a workwear coat and the neutral of a coated palm. Because these tones can fail as small text, keep type dark and let the colour live in the accents, palette and band. The takeaways: make it at scale; own the making; attribute the numbers honestly; and treat any single hex as unofficial.
Typography
The register is a factory sans — industrial, plain, functional.
Xingyu’s identity carries an industrial, plain, functional spirit — a manufacturer, not a fashion label. A factory sans captures the mood: even, technical and solid, the register of a work glove. Set in a factory-blue palette, the factory sans feels industrial and functional — exactly the personality Xingyu carries. It is a production line rather than a boutique, mirroring a coated work glove. (Xingyu’s real logo and certification marks are things we describe but do not reproduce, and the exact typeface is not ours to use.) Because it is not ours to use, the honest description is “a factory-sans spirit,” shown here in a stand-in. The type behaves like the maker: industrial, plain and functional.

The glove around the world
Xingyu stands for the work glove made where work gloves are made.
Xingyu is a lesson in how making at scale, at home, can be an identity. A factory-blue palette, a factory sans and a coated work glove make one thing — the Chinese work glove — the whole identity: industrial, Chinese and at-scale. The at-home Chinese manufacture is the differentiator, and the honesty of it is the meaning. The point is a named Chinese brand that makes gloves in China, at volume, in the country that quietly makes most of the world’s — the maker behind a fact the rest of this vein tends to hide.
Put to work, the identity is manufacture, honestly and neutrally told, as design. A maker in this spirit would make at scale, own that making, and be candid about the numbers — a founding it dates to 1992, plants in Shandong, output it states itself. A brand learning from it would see that being a named maker where the work happens is a durable identity — that a Chinese brand making at home is more honest about global glove production than a Western label sourcing there silently — and that being precise, founded 1992 in Gaomi, made in China at its own plants, with self-reported scale attributed as such, keeps the story honest. Xingyu is the round’s plainest where-made truth: for all the Western brands elsewhere in this vein that design at home and make in Asia, here is the Asian maker itself, named and at home, and the honest move is simply to say so — China is where most gloves are made, and this is one of the makers. There is a discipline in neutrality, too: keeping strictly to the company’s documented commercial facts, attributing its scale claims, and taking no position on any wider politics is exactly what keeps the account fair and credible. The lesson Xingyu teaches is that making at scale, at home, can hold an identity: the manufacture gives it proof, and the neutral honesty keeps it credible. The making is the personality, and the at-scale glove is the proof.
For designers and brand-builders, Xingyu holds the China pole in the glove around the world: own the making, and tell it plainly. The lessons: make at scale; name the maker; attribute self-reported numbers; stay neutral and factual; and never reproduce a logo or safety mark. It is also a reminder to stay precise: Xingyu is the Chinese work-glove maker founded in Shandong in 1992, a named brand producing protective gloves at industrial scale in the country where most of the world’s gloves are made — with the palette here an unofficial interpretation. Xingyu made at-scale home manufacture the identity — proof that owning the making, plainly told, can be the difference.
