Middlebury, 2008

A luxury name inside a family RV company.

Entegra Coach is a motorhome brand that belongs to Jayco, the recreational-vehicle maker based in Middlebury, Indiana. The “Our Story” section of the Entegra Coach website, read in October 2026, says that “in the spring of 2008, a new chapter began for Entegra Coach” as it joined “the Jayco family.” The same page says the brand began by building its motorhomes one at a time, and it describes the result as a coach meant to deliver a smooth, quiet ride. Those are the company’s words.

The family behind Jayco is part of that story. English Wikipedia says Jayco was founded in 1968 by Lloyd and Bertha Bontrager, and an archived Entegra Coach “About Us” page captured by the Wayback Machine in July 2015 described Entegra as “founded, owned and operated by the Bontrager family.” The same archived page listed site sections called the “Bontrager Promise” and “Cab-Forward Design,”, alongside an owners’ Connection Magazine, an event locator and an owner’s centre.

An even earlier capture of the website, from January 2009, shows the range at that date. Its menu offered two product groups, fifth wheels and motorhomes, and named one model, the Anthem. A fifth wheel is a towable trailer that hitches into the bed of a pickup truck, while a motorhome is a self-propelled vehicle with its own engine and cab. The 2009 menu listed both.

On the current website the brand’s name appears in full as Entegra Coach, and the copyright line names the business as Entegra Coach, Inc. The site’s owner pages list owners’ manuals, an event locator, an Entegra Coach store, a blog and an “Ambassadors” section, and its buyer tools include a build-and-price configurator, brochures and a dealer finder.

From Class A roots to vans and a Super C.

The company says its first motorhomes were Class A coaches, the motorhome type built on a bus-like chassis with a flat front and a large windscreen. Its “Our Story” page says that in 2018 Entegra Coach “expanded beyond its original Class A roots,” adding gas Class A and Class C models. A Class C motorhome is built on a van or truck cab, usually with a sleeping area over the cab. The same page says that in 2021 the brand unveiled its first van-style Class B motorhome, the Ethos.

By October 2026 the Entegra Coach website organised its range under five headings: Gas Class A, Super C, Class C, Class B and Embark. A Super C is a larger Class C, often built on a heavy truck chassis. Model names visible on the home page at the time included the Vision XL, Centurion, Accolade XT, Qwest and Cornerstone. The website also links to an archive of previous model years and to a comparison tool for its current models.

The website also sets out a short list of values, each given a single capitalised word: Honesty, Reliability, Accessibility, Responsiveness and Thoroughness. Its closing line uses the slogan “Without compromise” and invites buyers to “live your legacy in an Entegra Coach.” Those are the company’s own words.

The Entegra home page in October 2026 included an image captioned as a Cornerstone exterior “with Entegra wordmark detail,” alongside images captioned as the Entegra Coach logo, a wheel detail and a Super C motorhome on a desert road through a saguaro landscape.

Design and documentation.

Small travel trailers and recreational vehicles occupy a particular corner of the road-going world. Some are built in compact factories in small towns, often by families who have run the business across more than one generation; others come from much larger groups that hold many nameplates under one roof. A lightweight moulded shell and a towing hitch can look much the same from one maker to the next, so the name on the side has to do a good deal of the work.

That is why the plain questions matter here: who started the company, who owns it today, where the trailers are actually built, and how the product range has changed over time, from the first floor plan to the latest one. Owner clubs, rallies and enthusiast forums often keep that history alive as carefully as the makers do. Model names, body shapes and liveries tend to persist for decades, while the people and owners behind them change.

Each guide in this group sets out what independent, dated sources record next to what the company says about itself, and marks clearly where a fact rests only on the maker’s own account.

Entegra Coach

Built in Middlebury, owned through Jayco by Thor.

Entegra Coach builds its motorhomes in Middlebury, Indiana, the same town as its parent. The company’s “Visit Us” page, read in October 2026, gives a factory location in Middlebury and invites buyers to walk the production floor and watch cabinetry, systems and finish work come together. It says the factory runs scheduled tours of its gas Class A, Super C and Class C manufacturing, which take place on Tuesdays at midday Eastern time. Visitors are asked to register in advance, each registration covers up to two guests, and closed-toe shoes are required on the production floor. The company says one-on-one visits may also be arranged separately.

Ownership changed above the brand in 2016. English Wikipedia’s article on Thor Industries, citing the South Bend Tribune of 2 July 2016, says Thor acquired Jayco in July 2016, and that Jayco’s subsidiaries, including Starcraft RV, Highland Ridge and Entegra Coach, came under the Thor umbrella at the same time. English Wikipedia’s article on Jayco likewise lists Entegra Coach among the brands it makes.

That places Entegra in a layered family of names. Thor Industries is the group at the top; Jayco is the Middlebury company whose founders’ family name appeared on Entegra’s own pages; and Entegra Coach is the motorhome badge that buyers see on the road.

For a design guide, Entegra Coach shows how a luxury motorhome name can sit inside a family RV company and grow from one Class A model into a range of coaches and vans, carried by single-word model names and a wordmark on the body side. Compare Jayco, its Middlebury parent, and Coachmen, another RV brand headquartered in the same town. For this guide we use coach graphite, champagne trim and desert stone with a serif, an unofficial interpretation; no product or logo is reproduced.
