Teremana Brand Guidelines
Spirit of the earth.

Two constants: a warm earthy palette and a warm slab wordmark. Abstract homage — not the Teremana wordmark or wax seal.
The People’s Tequila
Teremana leaned into handcrafted earthiness.
Teremana is a lesson in a celebrity brand built on craft cues. Launched in 2020 by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson with Dany Garcia and spirits veterans Ken Austin and Jenna Fagnan, it is made at the brand’s own Jalisco distillery from 100% Blue Weber agave. The name fuses “terra” (earth) and “mana” (a Polynesian word for spirit) — “spirit of the earth,” nodding to Johnson’s heritage.
The identity is warm, earthy and artisanal: a hand-dipped black-wax seal on every bottle’s neck as a craft cue, warm cream, stone and agave tones, and production imagery (agave, copper stills, jimadores) foregrounded. It is positioned as accessible, small-batch, agave-forward — “quality over hype,” often called “The People’s Tequila.”
(Honest notes: Teremana is not solely Johnson-owned — the founders share it with the Mexican López family (who make the liquid) and Mast-Jägermeister, which took a minority stake and handles global distribution (terms undisclosed). It reportedly became the fastest US premium spirit to a million cases in 2023 (a brand claim we attribute) and has since plateaued around that level. No official brand hex is published.)
Colour
Teremana lives in warm, earthy tones. Click a swatch to copy the hex.
Teremana’s identity is warm, earthy and handcrafted — a copper, an agave green, a terracotta, a cream, and a near-black. The palette evokes the land and the process: copper stills, agave fields, terracotta and stone, grounded by the black wax seal. It signals artisanal, small-batch, “of the earth” tequila rather than flashy nightlife spirits. The honest caveat: with no published brand hex, these tones are an original, unofficial interpretation, not first-party values.
The lesson is an earthy palette plus a craft cue signals handmade. Teremana’s world is the distillery and the agave field. For designers, it is a reminder that warm, natural tones and one tactile signal (the hand-dipped wax) can make a product feel handcrafted and honest — grounding a celebrity brand in real process. The takeaways: draw the palette from the material and process; add one tactile craft cue; and treat any single hex as unofficial — using a deep earth-brown for small text so the warm tones stay rich.
Typography
The wordmark spirit is a warm slab serif — sturdy and handcrafted.
Teremana’s identity carries a sturdy, warm, handcrafted spirit — a solid wordmark on a wax-sealed, earthy bottle. A warm slab serif captures the mood: it is grounded and rugged, the register of a small-batch, “of the earth” tequila. Set against warm earthy tones, the slab feels artisanal and honest — exactly the handcrafted personality Teremana carries. It is sturdy rather than slick, mirroring a hand-dipped seal. (Teremana’s real wordmark and wax seal are trademarks and trade dress we describe but do not reproduce, and the exact typeface is not published, so we don’t assert it; note the brand’s Polynesian connection lives in its name and story, not a logo symbol.) Because the specific mark is not ours to use, the honest description is “a warm slab spirit,” not the Teremana logo. The type behaves like the brand: sturdy, warm and handcrafted.

Craft cues over celebrity
Teremana stands for handmade warmth.
Teremana is a lesson in grounding a celebrity brand in real craft. Johnson’s fame opened the door, but the design leans on handcrafted cues — the hand-dipped wax, the earthy palette, the distillery story — so the tequila reads as artisanal rather than a mere celebrity cash-in. The craft cues carry the credibility. The differentiator is warm, handmade authenticity behind a famous face.
For designers and brand-builders, Teremana offers a clear takeaway: let craft cues do the talking. The lessons: ground a celebrity brand in real process and material (agave, copper, wax); pick one tactile signal that reads as handmade; and keep the palette warm and earthy. It is also a reminder to stay accurate: Teremana is not solely Johnson-owned (the López family and Mast-Jägermeister hold stakes), and its case numbers are brand-reported — with the palette here an unofficial interpretation. Teremana leaned on craft — proof that handmade cues can be the difference.
