Two constants: a Souri-green palette and a Levantine-sans register. Abstract homage — not a Darmmess product or mark.
The single-origin Lebanese oil of Deir Mimas
Darmmess is the design-led, single-origin Lebanese olive oil from the Souri groves of Deir Mimas.
Darmmess brings the round Lebanon — the design-led, single-origin extra-virgin olive oil made from the Souri variety, grown and pressed in the village of Deir Mimas, in southern Lebanon, by a founder-led social enterprise. Darmmess makes a single-origin Lebanese olive oil, and its answer to a round about the world’s groves is provenance and design: a rare-variety oil from one village, in a distinctive, considered bottle. A brand, single-origin.
Its identity is the single-origin Lebanese oil of Deir Mimas. Darmmess’s Souri oil, its Deir Mimas origin and its design are the story here. A brand, Lebanese. The single-origin Lebanese oil of Deir Mimas.
(Honest notes, so the story stays precise, and the framing stays factual. Darmmess, at darmmess.com, makes a premium single-origin Lebanese extra-virgin olive oil, one hundred per cent from the Souri variety, early-harvested, first cold-extracted and filtered, from the village of Deir Mimas. Its founder is Rose Bechara Perini, a native of Deir Mimas, and it is a founder-led social enterprise, founded around 2019, and female-founded, so we name Rose Bechara Perini and date it to around 2019. On where it is made, a star theme of this round, the olives are grown and pressed in Deir Mimas, in southern Lebanon, among old groves, so we name Deir Mimas, and we keep the regional framing strictly factual, focused on the brand, the groves and the design, and away from any geopolitics. On its design, it is genuinely design-forward, with a distinctive dark, minimalist bottle, but we describe that design in general terms, and we do not name a specific packaging-design award or a designer, since we could not verify them. On its awards, it has won olive-oil quality medals, which we can note. Its online shop is not a live checkout, so we do not imply one. Its name and bottle are IP we describe but do not reproduce; there is no official brand hex; these tones are an unofficial interpretation.)
Colour
Darmmess lives in a Souri green. Click a swatch to copy the hex.
Darmmess’s identity is single-origin, Lebanese and design-led — a Souri green, an ink, a pale green, a deep green, and a paper. The palette leans Souri green and deep green: a dark, considered register that nods to an early-harvest, high-polyphenol green oil and a minimalist bottle rather than a loud palette. It signals a design-led single-origin oil. The honest caveat: with no published brand hex, these values are an original, unofficial interpretation, not first-party colours.
The lesson is a Souri green signals a single-origin, design-led identity. Darmmess’s world is a considered, made object. For designers, it is a reminder that a Souri green and a soft pale green can carry a pantry brand — the tone of a rare-variety oil. Because these tones can fail as small text, keep type dark and let the colour live in the accents, palette and band. The takeaways: single-source a variety; design the bottle; frame a place factually; and treat any single hex as unofficial.
Typography
The register is a Levantine sans — considered, minimal, plain.
Darmmess’s identity carries a considered, minimal, plain spirit — a single-origin oil, not a fashion. A Levantine sans captures the mood: clean, minimal and confident, the register of a design-led brand. Set in a Souri-green palette, the Levantine sans feels considered and minimal — exactly the personality Darmmess carries. It is a variety rather than a logo, mirroring an olive and an oil. (Darmmess’s real bottle is a thing we describe but do not reproduce, and the exact typeface is not ours to use.) Because it is not ours to use, the honest description is “a Levantine-sans oil,” shown here in a stand-in. The type behaves like the brand: considered, minimal and plain.

The world’s groves
Darmmess stands for the single-origin Lebanese oil of Deir Mimas.
Darmmess brings the round Lebanon. A Souri-green palette, a Levantine sans and a single origin make one thing — the single-origin Lebanese oil of Deir Mimas — the whole identity: single-origin, Lebanese and design-led. The Souri variety is the substance, and Deir Mimas is the origin. The point is a rare-variety oil from one village, in a distinctive, considered bottle.
Put to work, the identity is a single origin told straight, as design. A maker in this spirit would single-source a variety, design the bottle, and frame a place factually. A reader in this spirit would keep the facts right: Darmmess, at darmmess.com, makes a single-origin Lebanese olive oil, one hundred per cent Souri, early-harvested and first cold-extracted; its founder is Rose Bechara Perini, and it is a founder-led, female-founded social enterprise from around 2019; the olives are grown and pressed in Deir Mimas, in southern Lebanon; and it is design-forward, with quality medals. Darmmess is the round’s Lebanese entry, joining the world tour, and it sits with the founder-led design brands. The honest editorial moves are to name Rose Bechara Perini, to say Souri and Deir Mimas, to describe the design generally without naming a design award, and to keep the regional framing factual. The lesson Darmmess teaches is that a single origin can be a whole identity, and framing a place factually keeps it credible.
For designers and brand-builders, Darmmess continues the world’s groves: single-source a variety — and design the bottle. The lessons: build a brand on one rare variety, like Souri; press it at its single origin; make the bottle a considered design; describe design acclaim without inventing an award; and never reproduce a bottle. It is also a reminder to stay precise: Darmmess is the design-led, single-origin Lebanese olive oil from the Souri groves of Deir Mimas — with the palette here an unofficial interpretation. Read that way, Darmmess is less a bottle than a variety: a single-origin Lebanese oil. The lesson for a brand is that a single origin and honest framing reinforce each other, and naming Rose Bechara Perini keeps the story earned. Darmmess made the-single-origin-Lebanese-oil-of-Deir-Mimas the identity — proof that a single origin can define a brand.
