Nopinz Brand Guidelines
Tailored for speed.

Two constants: an orange-on-black palette and a technical sans register. Abstract homage — not the Nopinz wordmark or logo.
Tailored for speed
Nopinz started by getting rid of race-number pins.
Nopinz is a lesson in one problem, solved well. Incorporated in 2013 (and to market around 2014) in Barnstaple, North Devon, and built by founder Blake Pond-Collins, the independent brand takes its name from its founding idea: “no pins.” Its patented SpeedPocket holds a race number secure and streamlined, with no pinholes.
Its brand identity is aero, time-trial and tech-led — “Tailored for Speed,” across TT, triathlon, road, running and indoor. Its current flagship aero range is Sonic (speedsuits, road-race, gravel and tri suits), alongside Club Nopinz custom kit.
(Honest notes: Nopinz is genuinely independent and founder-controlled — a real contrast to the consolidated names in this vertical. Its “SubZero” line is a cooling range with ice packs, not an aero speedsuit line. And there’s no official brand hex, so the tones here are an unofficial interpretation.)
Colour
Nopinz lives in an orange-on-black palette. Click a swatch to copy the hex.
Nopinz’s identity is aero, technical and fast — an ink, an orange, a steel, an ice, and a snow. The palette pairs a signal orange with black — the register of a time-trial skinsuit and marginal-gains engineering. It signals speed, precision and racing rather than lifestyle. The honest caveat: with no published brand hex, these tones are an original, unofficial interpretation, not first-party values.
The lesson is orange on black signals aero, tech-led racing. Nopinz’s world is a time-trial start ramp. For designers, it is a reminder that a signal orange on black reads as fast and technical — right for a brand built on marginal gains. The takeaways: anchor with ink; add a signal orange; and treat any single hex as unofficial — using ink for small text so the orange stays a signal.
Typography
The register is a technical sans — precise and fast.
Nopinz’s identity carries an aero, precise, tech-led spirit — time trials and marginal gains. A technical sans captures the mood: it is precise and fast, the register of a skinsuit and a data readout. Set in an orange-on-black palette, the technical sans feels precise and fast — exactly the personality Nopinz carries. It is engineered rather than soft, mirroring aero kit. (Nopinz’s real wordmark — whose “O” is styled like a “Q” — is a trademark we describe but do not reproduce, and the exact brand typeface is not ours to use.) Because the mark is not ours to use, the honest description is “a technical sans spirit,” shown here in a stand-in. The type behaves like the brand: aero, precise and fast.

Innovation as identity
Nopinz stands for aero, pinless racing.
Nopinz is a lesson in making one innovation the identity. An orange-on-black palette, a patented SpeedPocket and an aero range make marginal-gains racing the whole brand — fast, technical, precise. The innovation is the differentiator. The differentiator is an aero, time-trial, tech-led identity.
For designers and brand-builders, Nopinz offers a clear takeaway: one good idea can start a brand. The lessons: solve a real problem (the pins); build outward (aero suits, Club Nopinz); and keep the tone technical. It is also a reminder to stay accurate: it’s independent and founder-controlled, its aero flagship is Sonic (SubZero is a cooling line), and the palette here is an unofficial interpretation. Nopinz made an innovation the brand — proof that one idea can be the difference.
