Ravidà Brand Guidelines
The pioneering single-estate oil of Sicily.

Two constants: a Sicilian-gold palette and an estate-serif register. Abstract homage — not a Ravidà asset or mark.
The pioneering single-estate oil of Sicily
Ravidà is the aristocratic Sicilian family’s single-estate olive oil from Menfi.
Ravidà opens the second pressing with a Sicilian pioneer — the aristocratic family estate at Menfi, whose single-estate olive oil, grown and milled on the family’s own land, was one of the early premium Sicilian oils. Ravidà makes estate extra-virgin olive oil, and its answer to a round about the second pressing is estate and pedigree: a family that farmed Sicilian land for centuries and, in the nineteen-eighties, turned it into a premium bottled oil. A brand, single-estate.
Its identity is the pioneering single-estate oil of Sicily. Ravidà’s own estate, its aristocratic family and its early premium oil are the story here. A brand, estate. The pioneering single-estate oil of Sicily.
(Honest notes, so the story stays precise. Ravidà, at ravida.it, makes estate extra-virgin olive oil, sold as a House Blend and Natalia’s Selection and an organic blend, plus flavoured oils and Sicilian sea salt, and it is grown and milled on the family estate. On its heritage, the Ravidà are an aristocratic Sicilian family who came to Menfi in the seventeen-seventies, when the estate came as a dowry, so we attribute the old dates to the family, not the brand. The branded premium oil business began in 1986, under Nicolò Ravidà, and his daughter Natalia Ravidà built it into a premium brand, so we date the oil to 1986. On where it is made, a star theme of this round, it is estate-grown and estate-milled at the family’s own mill, built in 2005, in Contrada Gurra at Menfi, in the province of Agrigento, Sicily, so we name Menfi, and we describe its olives as the classic Belice-valley Sicilian cultivars rather than asserting a specific blend. On ownership, it is family-owned and independent, run by Natalia and Patrizia Ravidà. Its name and labels are IP we describe but do not reproduce; there is no official brand hex; these tones are an unofficial interpretation. This is design commentary.)
Colour
Ravidà lives in a Sicilian gold. Click a swatch to copy the hex.
Ravidà’s identity is estate, Sicilian and considered — a Sicilian gold, an ink, a wheat, a deep gold, and a paper. The palette leans Sicilian gold and wheat: a warm, premium register that nods to golden Sicilian oil and an aristocratic estate rather than a loud palette. It signals a single-estate oil. The honest caveat: with no published brand hex, these values are an original, unofficial interpretation, not first-party colours.
The lesson is a Sicilian gold signals an estate, considered identity. Ravidà’s world is a considered, made object. For designers, it is a reminder that a Sicilian gold and a soft wheat can carry a pantry brand — the tone of a premium Sicilian oil. Because these tones can fail as small text, keep type dark and let the colour live in the accents, palette and band. The takeaways: own the estate; pioneer a category; attribute the heritage; and treat any single hex as unofficial.
Typography
The register is an estate serif — Sicilian, considered, refined.
Ravidà’s identity carries a Sicilian, considered, refined spirit — a single-estate oil, not a fashion. An estate serif captures the mood: refined, premium and confident, the register of an aristocratic estate. Set in a Sicilian-gold palette, the estate serif feels Sicilian and considered — exactly the personality Ravidà carries. It is an estate rather than a logo, mirroring an olive and an oil. (Ravidà’s real bottle is a thing we describe but do not reproduce, and the exact typeface is not ours to use.) Because it is not ours to use, the honest description is “an estate-serif oil,” shown here in a stand-in. The type behaves like the brand: Sicilian, considered and refined.

The second pressing
Ravidà stands for the pioneering single-estate oil of Sicily.
Ravidà opens the second pressing with a Sicilian pioneer. A Sicilian-gold palette, an estate serif and a single estate make one thing — the pioneering single-estate oil of Sicily — the whole identity: estate, Sicilian and considered. The own estate is the substance, and the early premium oil is the pedigree. The point is an aristocratic family that turned centuries-old Sicilian land into a premium bottled oil.
Put to work, the identity is an estate told straight, as design. A maker in this spirit would own the estate, pioneer a category, and attribute the heritage. A reader in this spirit would keep the facts right: Ravidà, at ravida.it, makes estate olive oil, a House Blend and Natalia’s Selection; the Ravidà are an aristocratic Sicilian family at Menfi since the seventeen-seventies, as their own heritage, with the branded oil business dating to 1986 under Nicolò and Natalia Ravidà; it is estate-grown and milled at the family mill, built in 2005, at Menfi, in Agrigento; and it is family-owned and independent. Ravidà opens the round’s three-heartlands thread on the Sicily side with Titone, and it sits with the aristocratic-family owners against the Native-owned and founder-led producers. The honest editorial moves are to date the brand to 1986, to attribute the older heritage to the family, to say Menfi and the Belice-valley cultivars without asserting a specific blend, and to name Natalia and Patrizia. The lesson Ravidà teaches is that an estate can be a whole identity, and attributing the heritage honestly keeps it credible.
For designers and brand-builders, Ravidà opens the second pressing: own the estate — and pioneer a category. The lessons: grow and mill your own; be early to a premium category, like fine Sicilian oil; attribute an old date to the family rather than the brand; describe cultivars generically when a blend is unstated; and never reproduce a bottle or a crest. It is also a reminder to stay precise: Ravidà is the aristocratic Sicilian family’s single-estate olive oil from Menfi — with the palette here an unofficial interpretation. Read that way, Ravidà is less a bottle than an estate: a pioneering Sicilian oil. The lesson for a brand is that an estate and honest heritage reinforce each other, and dating the oil to 1986 keeps the story earned. Ravidà made the-pioneering-single-estate-oil-of-Sicily the identity — proof that an estate can open a round.
