Thirty-five brand guides to taps, faucets, baths and basins — and the groups that own them.

Bathroom and kitchen fixtures are dominated by a few global groups, alongside family brassworks. These guides set out who owns each brand and where it makes.

The groups

Masco owns Hansgrohe, Axor and Delta Faucet; LIXIL owns Grohe and American Standard in the Americas; Fortune Brands owns Moen and, through House of Rohl, Perrin & Rowe; Kohler, family-owned in Wisconsin, has owned Jacob Delafon since 1986; Villeroy & Boch has owned Ideal Standard since 2024; and Roca owns Alape.

Family makers

Vola still makes Arne Jacobsen’s 1968 mixer tap in Horsens; Samuel Heath has made solid-brass taps in Birmingham since 1820; Gessi makes at one site in Serravalle Sesia; Duravit is family-owned in Hornberg; and Bette makes steel-enamel baths on a single site in Delbrück.

How to use these guides

Each guide covers who owns the name today, where the products are made — by the maker’s own account and, where it differs, by other sources — and the brand’s visual identity. A company’s description of itself is attributed to the company, and where a business has closed we say so plainly. The table at the end gathers the essentials.
